There is no getting around it, this is going to be a lot of hoof-stomping during what is sure to be a highly charged sequence of events during this 13-day period. This will not be a “business as usual, let’s negotiate”, type of period, as has occurred in the past, in conjunction with this energy sequence, but is more likely to be an “antler to antler”, head-butting, “deal with things as they come” kind of situation as people gear up for the major showdown that is due to take place near the end of this time frame. But even the first day of this period brings a warning to be on alert.

The period begins with One Manik’, which is represented in many Mesoamerican cultures as a deer, thought to be an embodiment of the sun on Earth. And as this trecena begins we will be dealing with an abundance of solar energy as the Space Weather Prediction Center has sent out warnings to be alert for the implications of the full-halo coronal mass ejection (CME) that has just hit Earth, that could significantly increase the odds of radio blackouts, and “demand attention from anyone who depends on reliable power, navigation, or radio links – which is to say, almost everyone.” As we journey through this period, things are going to get hot – very hot!

Keep in mind, however, that the Maya represented this energy, in hieroglyphic form, as a hand holding the sun, symbolizing the idea of the warmth and nourishment of the sun being brought to Earth, an energy that helps to “shape” things of the earth. And this is a trecena that has been a “shaper” of new directions in many different ways, often even demanding “accountability” in a variety of ways as Manik’ is a force that tends to champion Earth-oriented harmony, often through a process of Sacrifice-and-Reconcilation.

Think of it in the traditional indigenous sense of deer and hunter working together for a life-enhancing purpose, with the deer sacrificing itself to provide sustenance for the hunter, on condition that its sacrifice is thoughtfully, respectfully, and meaningfully put towards a greater good, such as feeding and protecting others. Negotiation and compromise are often highlighted at this time as people work towards some sense of “course correction” regarding ideologies or courses of action.

The Aztec saw this period as being under the auspices of a deity known as Tlazolteotl. Known as the “Eater of Filth”, she was a goddess of purification and curing who was oriented around the idea of erasing transgressions. She was also a kind of warrior goddess and midwife who is sometimes depicted with a shield and arrows or axe, sometimes shown seizing captured enemies by the hair, as seen in the trecena image below.

During this period there will be a multitude of reminders relating to “things worth fighting for”, including the environment, gun safety, the ending of wars, and freedom from tyranny. In many ways this will be a call for “all hands on deck” to push back against the forces that have been working against those things.

The last time this was in place Hope itself was returning, as this trecena began just 50 days before the U.S. presidential election. Not only had the Harris-Walz campaign sparked renewed vitality within their own party, but large numbers of Republicans were officially endorsing this team, and as the energy of reciprocity that is characteristic of this time period began to really click in it triggered a great deal of “working together” towards a common cause. During that period a letter published by the NSL4A (National Security Leaders for America) revealed that more than 700 former national security and military leaders (public servants who swore an oath to the Constitution) were endorsing Kamala Harris. The letter began as follows:

Many of us risked our lives for it (the Constitution). We are retired generals, admirals, senior noncommissioned officers, ambassadors, and senior civilian national security leaders. We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We are loyal to the ideals of our nation—like freedom, democracy, and the rule of law—not to any one individual or party.
We do not agree on everything, but we all adhere to two fundamental principles. First, we believe America’s national security requires a serious and capable Commander-in-Chief. Second, we believe American democracy is invaluable. Each generation has a responsibility to defend it. That is why we, the undersigned, proudly endorse Kamala Harris to be the next President of the United States.
This election is a choice between serious leadership and vengeful impulsiveness. It is a choice between democracy and  authoritarianism. Vice President Harris defends America’s democratic ideals, while former President Donald Trump endangers them.

At the same time General Stanley McChrystal, a widely respected former 4 star general, and former commander of all U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, provided the reminder that “Character is the ultimate measure of leadership for those who seek the highest office in our land,” as he made clear that he had little appreciation for the orange draft-dodger’s character. “Character will dictate whether we stand by our NATO allies and against Vladimir Putin’s continued aggression”, he wrote.

Character will dictate whether we have a commander in chief who honors and respects the men and women who serve in uniform . . . Uncritically accepting the thinking of others or being swayed by the roar of social media crowds is a mistake. To turn a blind eye toward or make excuses for weak character from someone we propose to confer awesome power and responsibility on is to abrogate our role as citizens. We will get — and deserve — what we elect.

He concluded his New York Times op-ed by giving his endorsement to Kamala Harris. So this was another hopeful sign, a sense that perhaps things were shifting. But . . . . . apparently not enough people were paying attention to such warnings as the creature-from-the-black-lagoon was returned to power 120 days later, even though he was a convicted felon by that time.

But – let’s not give up on Hope, as there is much that can be done during this current period, and paying attention would be a good start. And Normandy will be making major contributions in this regard as the 16-day D-Day Festival takes place there throughout the period, marking the 81st anniversary of the Allied landings on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th, 1944. This is a festival held to commemorate and honour the thousands of young men from fifteen different nations who landed on the beaches of Normandy on that June day, at the beginning of a huge push to liberate France from the Nazis.

Currently this trecena will be marking the 1200th day of the Russia-Ukraine war, with the horrendous situation in Gaza having recently reached over 600 days. It is long past time  for all this to be brought to an end. But, amazingly, there is hope to be found even here – as Ukraine is now finding ways to truly make progress against all that relentless Russian aggression. Ukraine’s Operation Spiderweb is truly impressive. We have to hold out Hope that some semblance of settlement will be found with regard to Gaza during this period as well. Certainly a considerable amount of “give-and-take” will be required in order to gain any sense of workable equilibrium with regard to the armed conflicts in many regions, but this period always provides a strong window of opportunity for negotiations to move forward.

Indeed, past events have demonstrated how reconciliation-related forces can play out in action, as seen in 2019 when this trecena began with the first ever UN High-Level Meeting (UN HLM) on Universal Health Coverage – a landmark summit where world leaders made an “historic commitment” to improve global health through the most “comprehensive international health agreement in history”. Early in 2021 this trecena saw both US houses of Congress pass the Covid Relief Bill, which was a turning point in the fight against covid. Later that same year, when this trecena returned for a second time, the historic, bipartisan, $1 trillion infrastructure bill was signed by President Biden in the US., just three days before the director of the United Nations’ World Food Programme laid out a plan to spend $6.6 billion to combat world hunger.

Four cycles ago, in 2022, there was a tremendous amount of high level negotiation, both locally and internationally, that was significantly productive. It was during this period that Congress in the US actually worked together to pass the sweeping Inflation Reduction Act, a $740bn climate, healthcare, and tax legislation package that was the product of 18 months of intense wrangling. At that same time President Biden signed into law the CHIPS and Science Act to boost investment in domestic high-tech research and manufacturing, as well as the PACT Act to expand and streamline health care for around 3.5 million post-9/11 combat veterans who were exposed to toxins while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. It demonstrated to everyone what was possible when people put differences aside and actually worked jointly towards common goals.

Three cycles ago (in April of 2023), planes from various countries got together to help people to evacuate from Sudan, as a temporary ceasefire came into effect under this influence. A brief ceasefire in Gaza also came into effect at that time. Also during that period, last-minute negotiations took place between Dominion Voting Systems and Fox, with Fox agreeing to pay $787.5 million to settle Dominion’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against them for false claims about the 2020 election. It was one of the biggest ever financial settlements in a defamation case. Then, towards the end of the trecena, the trial associated with E. Jean Carroll’s rape lawsuit against the dumpster began, resulting in a verdict of Guilty.

Indeed, this trecena has a history of being significantly problematic for “Captain Chaos” (as Michael Cohen refers to him), as could be seen five cycles ago when 30 FBI agents carried out an intensive court-authorized search of Mar-a-lago, during which dozens of boxes of documents (including top secret ones) were found. This was the first time a former “president” had ever been the subject of an FBI search, signed off by a federal judge, acting on good evidence that he, intentionally, may have been involved in a crime. Then, on the last day of the trecena, he appeared for a 4-hour deposition in the New York DA’s office, where he declined (some 450 times) to answer questions because his answers could have been used against him in criminal investigations. Then, early last year, just before the start of the second E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, closing arguments were presented in that civil fraud trial against him in New York. It has now been one year and 4 days since the Vile Orange Felon was found Guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, becoming the first former president to be criminally convicted at trial. . . . . and now, in the role of 2.0, he is about to preside over a military parade to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the US army. What part of this doesn’t compute? Or have we truly entered the Twilight Zone?

Currently this trecena marks twelve cycles since late November of 2016, when people were frantically attempting to sort out how to move forward after the “shocking” U.S. election that brought that unfathomable change in power, with large numbers of high level firings and resignations taking place during that time. In 1962 it was the Cuban missile crisis that had to be negotiated, with the final day of this trecena bringing the highest level of warning regarding the nuclear threat from the Soviets, as Soviet submarines in the mid-Atlantic were making their way to Cuba. That was a “game-changing” moment for President John F. Kennedy as this crisis was averted. Other dissolutions that have taken place during this time frame include the dismantling of the Berlin Wall in 1989, and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Note as well that in 1787 this was the trecena in place when the phrase “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” was being drafted and added to the US Constitution, becoming Article II, which provides that “the President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Does anyone remember that – or has all of that gone up in the flames of hypocrisy that have turned into a raging inferno since last November?

But never give up on Hope, and never give up on the power of pushback, which will take place in large, large numbers during this period, particularly on the No Kings Nationwide Day of Protest that will coincide with “parade day” towards the end of the trecena.

Keep in mind that in the past this trecena HAS extracted some measure of accountability with regard to the cruel despot’s actions – not nearly enough, of course, but Some! So now this trecena is providing another chance.

As always, it is never possible to predict the exact nature of the “Sacrifice and Reconcilation” that will unfold during these 13 days, but the weight of action does tend to be on the side of justice and “reconciliation”. As always, Tlazolteotl, one of the patrons of this trecena, has her work cut out for her as she dons her armour, picks up her axe, as continues her work to “clear away filth”.

As always, there will be much to navigate as we go through this period, which will definitely be “supercharged” at this time. This will not be a cakewalk, but there is much that could be “negotiated”. Tlazolteotl will be calling for everyone to work together to help her during this period as the stakes are higher than ever. Here are the energies that will come into play:

1 Manik’ (June 3rd) – aka “One Deer”, the “initiation of reciprocity” (sometimes manifesting as “sacrifice and reconciliation”), symbolized by the Moon Goddess (the Number One) working with the Deer/Stag, the “carrier” of the sun on Earth, now coinciding with an active coronal mass ejection (CME) period on the sun. Several M and X class solar ejections have triggered beautiful auroras on Earth over the past few days, and the last time a Manik’ energy was in place (20 days ago), a particularly strong X2.7 solar flare reportedly triggered widespread radio blackouts across vast regions, including North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

It has been predicted that this kind of activity could continue over the next few days. Note that precisely two cycles ago, this One Manik’ energy was in place when the sun hurled a highly charged CME towards Earth, after emitting an X5 solar flare, the strongest X-class solar flare since 2017.

It has now been 14 tortuous cycles since mid-June of 2015 when the dumpster announced his candidacy for the 2016 election. The final day of this trecena will mark the tenth anniversary of that announcement.

Currently this is the final day of National Reconciliation Week in Australia, the third day of Indigenous History Month, and the third day of the D-Day Festival in Normandy that runs through this entire trecena, finishing on the last day of this time frame.

It has now been three cycles exactly since Germany shut down its three remaining nuclear power plants. That was the day when Canada agreed to pay $800m to settle a land claims dispute with five First Nations, acknowledging that it had failed to honour a treaty signed  more than a century ago. This was part of a string of negotiations that have been reshaping the relationship between government and Canada’s indigenous communities. It has now been four cycles since Pope Francis completed his historic visit to Canada, during which he met with indigenous groups and issued a long-awaited apology with regard to residential schools.

2 Lamat (June 4th) – a “dynamic heralding” (or leadership) type of energy, generally referred to as “Star” by the Maya. As Two Lamat was seen as the birth energy of an Aztec deity known as Ometochtli (Two Rabbit), associated with pulque, the fermented sap of the maguey plant, this day was seen as having a connection with intoxication.

Not only is this the Maya birth energy of Elvis Aaron Presley, but it is also the opening day of the four-day Elvis Festival in Tupelo, Mississippi, the home of his birth. This is the 27th anniversary of that festival.

This would have been Russian activist Alexei Navalny’s 49th birthday.

This is the 36th anniversary of the bloody Tiananmen Square massacre in China that was the culmination of weeks of student-led, anti-government corruption demonstrations. However, public acknowledgment of the events of June 4th, 1989, when Chinese soldiers shut down a weeks-long peaceful protest with violence, killing anywhere from several hundred to several thousand people, was banned in mainland China.

Rituals related to the Hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, begin in the evening.

3 Muluk (June 5th) – the “activation of water”, often a powerful “shape-shifting” type of force, as was in place at the time of the first inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th US president, in 2009.

Two years after that, this was in place when an enormous 9.0 earthquake struck Japan off the coast of Sendai, NE of Tokyo, triggering a devastating tsunami. It was also in place in 1962 when the U.S. obtained photographic evidence of Soviet missile installations in Western Cuba, which triggered the Cuban missile crisis 2 days later. In 1997 this energy was in place at the time of the tragic death of Princess Diana.

Currently this is coinciding with the UN’s World Environment Day, an important day for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. This year’s theme is “Ending Plastic Pollution”.

This is when Earth Overshoot Day 2025 will be announced – the day when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services for the year will exceed what Earth could regenerate in that year. Note that Qatar hit this point on Feb. 6th and the U.S. hit this point on March 13th.

In India this is the start of the auspicious Ganga Dussehra festival, a highly auspicious day in the Hindu religion. It is believed that one can get salvation from sins or achieve  Moksha (liberation) at this time by taking a dip in the Ganges River, which is seen as the incarnation of the Goddess Ganga.

This is also the Maya birth energy of both Sir Mick Jagger and Prince Louis, Diana’s grandson, who was born precisely 29 Tzolk’in cycles after the death of Princess Diana. For Harry Potter fans, this would be Harry’s Maya birth energy.

4 Ok (June 6th) – a “defining” Burner Day representative of fire (or heart-fire), an energy that can often stir the emotions as this is a “double-fire” type of force (the sun plus fire working together), seen as an energy that “runs with the fire”.

This energy is currently coinciding with Canada’s third National Day Against Gun Violence and with the 11th National Gun Violence Awareness Day in the U.S., dedicated to honouring the lives of Americans affected by gun violence. Clearly this is needed as nearly 50,000 lives are lost annually in the US alone due to gun violence (nearly 47,000 in 2023). This is the first day of Wear Orange Weekend in the US, related to this cause.

This is Day 7 of the 16-day D-Day Festival in Normandy, marking the 81st anniversary of the Allied landings on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th, 1944, in the largest land, sea, and air operation ever undertaken. This festival is held to commemorate and honour the thousands of young men from fifteen different nations (more than 150,000 Allied soldiers, including 23,000 paratroopers) who landed on the beaches of Normandy on that June day, at the beginning of a huge push to liberate France from the Nazis. Some 12,000 men were killed, wounded or taken prisoner over three months of battles to liberate Normandy, before moving on to liberate Paris and the rest of Europe.

This commemorative festival includes parachute drops in period attire, historical re-
enactments, parades, concerts, an air show, and exhibitions such as the “Standing with Giants” installation that includes 1,475 silhouettes on a wild meadow to represent the number of British servicemen who died on D-Day itself. This exhibition runs through to Sept. 12th this year.

Note that this is marking three cycles since UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned that “humanity is just one misunderstanding, one miscalculation away from nuclear annihilation.” Considering that the political arena is so incredibly fraught with miscalculations these days, it seems that, more than ever, we must count each day of survival as a gift. Not everyone makes it through, but it is important to remember and give thanks to those who make survival possible. It has now been six cycles, precisely, since the US House of Representatives passed President Biden’s $1.9tn coronavirus relief bill, prior to sending it to the Senate, where it was passed, ultimately saving the lives of millions.

The Muslim celebration of Eid Al-Adha (“the celebration of the sacrifice”) or Qurbani, begins in the evening.

5 Chuwen (June 7th) – a “precision” oriented energy in combination with play or even mischief (symbolized by a monkey), coinciding at this time with Canada’s National Horse Day, on what would have been music legend Prince’s 67th Gregorian birthday.

This marks three cycles exactly since the dumpster’s former CFO Allen Weisselberg was released after serving over three months in the infamous Rikers Island jail in New York after pleading guilty to 15 felony counts related to a tax evasion scheme carried out by the Trump Organization. That was one of the first examples of someone else paying the price for crimes perpetuated by the Vile Orange Felon, aka “he who has no compunction”.

Five Chuwen can so be seen as a “timeweaver” type of energy that can bring about change through innovation, as was in place when the historic, bipartisan, $1 trillion infrastructure bill was signed in the US. five cycles ago, in 2021. Then, four cycles ago, the US Senate voted to pass the long-sought bipartisan PACT Act bill to expand health care benefits for millions of veterans exposed to toxic burn pits during their military service, sending the bill to President Joe Biden to sign into law. All of that took place, of course, long before the heartless “Doge and the dumpster act” took over the US government, and began setting fire to government programs and systems, including health care programs.

In 1962 this energy was in place at the start of the Cuban Missile crisis, a dangerous 13-day confrontation between the US and the Soviet Union, that came close to escalating into a full-scale nuclear war.

Currently this is the first full day of the Muslim celebration of Eid Al-Adha (“the celebration of the sacrifice”) or Qurbani, which began the evening before.

6 Eb’ (June 8th) – generally a “stabilizing” type of energy aligned with “restorative vitality”, coinciding at this time with the UN’s World Oceans Day, with this year’s theme being “Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us”. This is a global day to focus attention on stewardship and the need to conserve marine resources for future generations.

This is Native American Day in Arizona, a state holiday, and is also the day for the 78th annual Tony Awards, to recognize achievements in Broadway productions during the 2024-2025 season.

Currently this energy is coinciding with the observance of Kuan Kung’s birthday in Taiwan. Aka Guan Gong or Guan Yu, Kuan Kung is seen as a defender of the people, a kind of benefic warlord known as a great and righteous protector, able to deflect all negative energy. He needs to be called in now to neutralize all the negativity that is so greatly disturbing world order at this time – including in the war zones. This day is coinciding with the 1200th day of the Russia-Ukraine war. (Gaza reached 600 days on May 28th)

7 B’en (June 9th) – a “self generating personal authority” type of energy, coinciding with the final day of the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, which ends at sundown.

This is Johnny Mathis’s Maya birth energy. Known as one of the best selling artists of the 20th Century, Johnny’s career spanned almost 7 decades prior to his retirement from touring and live performing on May 18th.

This would also have been Inah Canabarro Lucas’s 117th birthday. At the time of her passing on April 30th Inah, a Brazilian nun, was the world’s oldest person, a supercentenarian who reached the age of 116, just a few weeks shy of her 117th birthday. She was succeeded as the world’s oldest living person by British supercentenarian Ethel May Caterham, currently age 115.

In 1974 this was the energy in place when seven of Richard Nixon’s top aides were arraigned in court with regard to the Watergate scandal. This energy was also in place when Confederate Army General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union Army General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House in early April of 1865, signalling the “beginning of the end” of that war.

8 Ix (June 10th) “Resurrecting Jaguar” – often aligned with the idea of a “rebirth” of earth-related magic and transformation, this is Santo Mundo, a special Maya day devoted to the Celebration of the Earth and its sacred mysteries. This is the opening day for the 5-day 2025 Americas Summit in Vancouver, where delegates from across the Americas meet to discuss the region’s most pressing issues and work to promote cross-border partnerships. This is Portugal Day, celebrated by Portugese people throughout the world.

This is also World Pet Memorial Day, a special day to remember all the wonderful animal companions that have graced our lives – and all those “out there” who would desperately love to find “furever” homes and people to take care of them.

In addition, this is the final day of the Muslim celebration of Eid Al-Adha.

This is U.S. astronaut Buzz Aldrin’s Maya birth energy. At age 95, he is the last surviving crewmember of the Apollo 11 Lunar mission, and one of the first two people to walk on the Moon.

This marks six cycles since one of the first lawsuits was filed against Trump after the insurrection attempt, the lawsuit filed by Representative Bennie Thompson and the NAACP.

9 Men (June 11th) – the “outward projection” of vision (as in the high-flying vision of the Eagle), coinciding at this time with the Full Strawberry Moon (aka the Green Corn Moon, the Birth Moon, and the Honey Moon), said to be associated with luck, love, and prosperity. In the U.S., this is National “Making Life Beautiful” day. Let’s hope people can find a way to do that.

This energy sometimes manifests as a “warrior” type of energy, as was in place in 1997 at the time of the funeral of Princess Diana, which was watched by millions. In 1865 it was in place at the time of President Abraham Lincoln’s last speech, the day he had a premonition regarding his assassination, at which time he expressed his support for black suffrage. In the audience was the Confederate activist who shot him in Ford’s theatre three days later.

This is now marking the completion of ten long, disaster-ridden cycles since David Laufman, the former Chief of the DOJ’s Counterintelligence and Export Control section, warned that the dumpster was a “clear and present danger” to the national security of the US.

10 Kib’ (June 12th) – a “foundational, restoration-of-order” type of energy, that can fluctuate between the setting up of important foundations for a “restoration of order” (as in the setting up of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty in 1968) to the kind of massive “clean up” that was required in China in 2008 after the Szechuan earthquake.

It has now been two cycles since a US Court of Appeals expressed deep skepticism about the dumpster’s claim of immunity, an offshoot of Judge Chutkan’s refusal to dismiss the Jan. 6th case based on so-called “presidential immunity”. The skepticism of the Court of Appeals led to the claim being taken up by the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, it was that court that, a few months later, ruled that a U.S. president has considerable “immunity” with regard to official acts. In 1787 this was the energy in place when the phrase “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” was added to the draft US Constitution, becoming Article II.

This is the Maya birth energy of long-time civil rights activist Andrew Young, who is now 93. He helped draft the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

11 Kab’an (June 13th) – the energy of “change” combined with the force of evolutionary movement, coinciding at this time with St. Anthony’s Feast Day, a popular Catholic celebration of a saint sometimes known as the Wonder-worker, the patron saint for the recovery of lost things. Also known as the marriage saint, he has been recognized in legends as facilitating reconciliations. Celebrations in his honour will be held in many places worldwide at this time. Perhaps it’s time to seek his help in the global effort to recover health, civility, stability, morality, human decency, and some semblance of peace.

It has now been six cycles exactly since the US Senate passed the $1.9tn coronavirus relief bill, clearing the way for it to be signed into law shortly thereafter. That was when a small number of senior, elected Republicans began pushing back against the dumpster’s domination of the party. But even though many Republicans said they were endorsing Kamala Harris close to the last year’s presidential election, not enough of them had the courage to muster the effort needed to put an end to the madness within their own party.

Four cycles ago (in August of 2022) this was the energy in place when 30 FBI agents carried out an intensive, court-authorized search of Mar-a-lago, and dozens of boxes of documents (including some classified as top secret) were found. Three cycles ago this was in place at the start of the trial associated with E. Jean Carroll’s rape case against the dumpster, which she ultimately won. The last time this was in place (last September) Special Prosecutor Jack Smith filed a 180-page motion in the Washington DC federal court election interference case, which included both legal arguments and evidence relating to the dumpster’s efforts to throw out election results. But again, that got stopped as well. The question remains – how did he manage to escape being held responsible for all the horrendous actions that have caused so much ruination for so many people, even to the point of being “elected” again after being found guilty on multiple felony counts?

If all that wasn’t enough, at this point the US is on the cusp of a very large event – as millions prepare to demonstrate their objections to all that he has done, and the US military prepares to take part in a revolting military parade that happens to coincide with the Vile Orange Felon’s birthday. Tensions will be extremely high at this time!!

12 Etz’nab’ (June 14th) – a robust “knife-edge” type of force that can bring forth powerful separation (or “sacrifice-related”) events, as was in place one cycle ago when Netanyahu spoke at the UN general assembly, as thousands of anti-Israeli protesters rallied on the streets of midtown Manhattan, at the same time as ICC judges were close to approving a warrant that could accuse him of war crimes and Israel was bombarding the southern suburbs of Lebanon’s capital Beirut. Crazy! But, tragically, even the involvement of the ICJ has not brought an end to the devastating situation in that region as the Gaza war drags on.

Three cycles ago this was in place when E. Jean Carroll gave a searing account in court about having been sexually assaulted by the dumpster. Thirteen days later he was convicted of sexual abuse and defamation. Deemed to be liable on 9 charges, he was required to pay Ms. Carroll $5 million in damages. Two cycles ago this energy was in place when closing arguments were presented in the Trump civil fraud trial in New York, which he also lost, at which time he was ordered to pay a fine of more than $400 million (that, in addition to nearly $90 million that he was ordered to pay E. Jean Carroll with regard to the assault case and a defamation case).

And now comes this day – a day where sparks will be flying in all directions as this will be a huge No Kings Nationwide Day of Protest, on the 250th anniversary of the founding of the US Army, on the day of the orange felon’s 79th birthday. A huge military parade will take place in Washington DC on this day, to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the US army, that will involve some 7500 troops and 120 vehicles, at a cost of up to $45 million, not including the additional $16 million that may be needed to repair potential damage to Washington streets. The parade was not part of the original planning to mark this anniversary but it was added in this year, when, as Democratic lawmakers and others have said, the dumpster hijacked the event. As one writer notes in The Guardian, what this horror show really signifies is “the ceremonial birth of the U.S.’s 21st century fascist regime” – at least that’s what the tyrant and his cronies would want people to believe. It is revolting to even contemplate, and will be nauseating to behold. However, as the “No Kings” protest organization is pointing out, “The Army’s birthday isn’t about parades or pageantry — it marks the beginning of America’s rejection of kings.”

When the US Army was created (on a 13 Manik’ day 250 years ago) it was during the period when Americans first organized to stand up to a king. But that is not what the orange fascist wants people to remember. Rather, as No Kings notes: “Trump isn’t honoring that legacy. He’s hijacking [the parade] to celebrate himself.”

This protest movement is calling for mobilization in large numbers “to reject this corruption and abuse of power”. As they state on their website – the fascists in the White House have gone too far.

This is bigger than political disagreement. They’ve defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services—all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies. Enough is enough. For anyone who thinks he’s gone too far, this movement is for you. . . .

So, on this day, this movement will be gathering “from city blocks to small towns, from courthouse steps to community parks” as people take action “to reject authoritarianism and show the world that the U.S. doesn’t belong to bullies or to a king. As they say:

We’re not letting him throw himself a parade funded by tens of millions of our taxpayer dollars while stealing from us and stripping away our rights, our freedoms, and the programs our families rely on. On June 14th, we’re coming together to send one clear message: No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

It will be good to see those protests “steal the thunder”, as they provide a strong and united counterbalance to what is sure to be a truly cringe-worthy spectacle. Ultimately this energy will do what it did in the recent past during those pre-election trials. It will highlight even more fully the grossness of his greed, corruption, and avarice. Ultimately, whatever happens parade-wise on this day will undoubtedly backfire on him, just like everything else does, and it could well be that the nature of that backfire will even be revealed on this day itself.

To underscore the situation, note that in April of 1865 this highly consequential (and often “shock-oriented”) energy was the energy in place at the time of the Ford’s Theatre shooting of President Abraham Lincoln.

As it happens, there will be another parade taking place at this time as well – the Trooping the Colour event in London, as the Horse Guards mark the monarch’s official birthday. This involves hundreds of parading soldiers and musicians, including the monarch’s personal guards with some 240 horses. This civilized and dignified event will be seen in sharp contrast to what will be taking place in Washington.

13 Kawak (June 15th) – “transformational storm”, coinciding with Father’s Day and the opening of the three-day 51st G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta. This is the final day of the D-Day Festival in Normandy that has run through this entire trecena. It is also Sir Paul McCartney’s 83rd Gregorian birthday.

This highly intense, and often storm related, force was the energy that was in place at the time of the 9.2 earthquake in Alaska in 1964. It was also in place in April of 1865 at the time of the death of President Abraham Lincoln, following his assassination shooting the evening before.

Four cycles ago this energy was in place when Trump appeared for a 4-hour deposition at the New York attorney general’s office, relating to the fraud case, but declined (some 450 times) to answer questions because his answers could be used against him in criminal investigations. He invoked the Fifth Amendment, which protects people from being compelled to be a witness against themselves in criminal cases. However, invoking the Fifth did not help him, and two cycles ago he was fined again, that time being ordered to pay $400,000 in a case relating to the New York Times. Currently this is the tenth anniversary of the day when he first announced his candidacy for president – and the world has rarely had a moment of peace since then.
