People are gearing up, there is no doubt about it. In France, students, teachers, and parents are fed up with the state of the education system, and are marching to demand improvement. In the US people everywhere are fed up with the corruption, callousness, hypocrisy, gross incompetence, vile absurdities, and horrifying cruelty of the current administration and are preparing to vote for massive changes in the forthcoming midterm elections. Another huge No Kings Day protest march will take place during this time frame. Worldwide, people are appalled by the continuing violence being perpetuated upon Palestinians, in Gaza and elsewhere, by the barbaric Israeli government, and are planning numerous anti-Israeli, pro-Palestinian events for the early days of this trecena. Mother Earth is not happy about the way she has been treated, and is signalling her displeasure with three major storms: Cat. 2 Hurricane Isaias, the Atlantic’s first hurricane of the season, is pummelling Florida’s Gulf Coast; Cat. 4 Hurricane Simon is heading towards Mexico’s Pacific coast; and Tropical Storm Rachel is taking aim at the Baja Peninsula and southern California, with high winds and flooding predicted for many regions at the start of this period. Indeed, the stage appears to be set for massive change as this new 260-day cycle in the Maya Calendar begins to unfold.
It has now been three cycles (780 days) since August of 2024 when the new 260-day Maya Calendar cycle began with a new sense of optimism as the Harris-Walz campaign clicked into high gear in the U.S. and people had “a reason to hope” that rationality and justice would prevail and Trumpism would finally die down. At that time new military equipment was being provided by allies to assist Ukraine in their effort to create a “buffer zone” to curtail Russian attacks, and intense efforts were being made to bring forth a ceasefire in Gaza. The sense that new “possibilities” were opening up was palpable at that time, but, lamentably, over the past 780 days there has been a steep downward slide on many fronts as chaos, uncertainty, lawlessness, cruelty, and avarice have played out on unthinkable levels, with little or no accountability being exacted for the gross crimes against humanity that have been perpetuated over the past few years. The past two cycles have been particularly devastating as “government by whim” in the US has been underscored by avarice, gross ineptitude, bigotry, widespread corruption, cruelty, and “constitutional dementia” (as MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell puts it). Both nationally (in the US) and internationally, all this has fomented widespread instability and horrific amounts of pain.
But as this new cycle begins, there is one thing that is now in place that is uniting people (both locally and internationally) like never before – the common cause of bringing an end to the horrors and building a new, more just, more accountable, world.

Waterlilies, symbolic of Imix, are representative of the Primordial Ocean, the Progenitive Nucleus, the Realm of all Potential – all associated with Imix.
From the perspective of the Maya Tzolk’in, the first trecena of a new cycle is associated with birth, and is often seen as a kind of “generative nucleus” that contains all possibilities. A very wide metaphor for this would be the cosmos itself – that cauldron of “everything happening at once” that gives birth to new worlds. While it can be very difficult to make sense of this seeming chaos, it still holds the sense of myriad possibilities. For the Aztec this “realm of all potential” was generally symbolized by a fierce alligator, but the Maya symbolized it as nourishing waterlily, the source for new life that can evolve from that swirling cauldron.
As always, the first day of this cycle is symbolized by the Moon Goddess (aligned with the “initiating” energy of the Number One and the power of birth) working in tandem with Imix, that birth-oriented “generative nucleus” that begins and carries forward this initiatory 13-day period. The Maya Maize god is also associated with the same number, and with the power of “resurrection” and cyclical regeneration. The patron of this time frame was known to the Aztecs as Ometeotl, a dualistic “creator” deity who was often depicted as a male and female pair, a “Lord and Lady of Our Sustenance” also known as Tonacatecuhtli and Tonacacihuatl. This is a rare binary deity that was seen as the ultimate progenitor, a generative kind of force that suggests that “anything is possible”.

Adaptation of the Imix (Birth, Waterlily) trecena from the pre-Columbian Codex Borgia by artist Richard Balthazar (used with permission). The first day (One Imix) is represented by the little head of a crocodile at the bottom right corner (within the border). Note that this is the Aztec version. The Maya depicted this daysign as an abstraction of a waterlily. Each of the remaining days proceed around the edge from there towards the left, ending with 13 B’en (depicted as a Reed) at the upper left corner. In the centre on the right is Tonacatecuhtli, a “Supreme Creator” deity who is also seen as part of a progenitor pair, known as Ometeotl, associated with the dualities that drive life forward. Click here for Richard’s various other versions of the same trecena.
During this trecena that “cosmic abyss” from which everything is created often presents itself in unusual ways. Indeed, many pioneering space-related events have occurred during this period, as when the astronomer Edwin Hubble chose this trecena in 1925 to announce the existence of galaxies other than the Milky Way, which greatly expanded our awareness of the universe. In 1931 the first human ascent into the stratosphere took place during this period. And then in 1957 the launch of Sputnik I (on the final day of this trecena) kicked off the space race. In 2013 this was the trecena that saw the launch of the European Space Agency’s Gaia probe on a 5.5 year observational campaign to map this Milky Way galaxy. In early 2016 we saw the historic beginning of gravitational wave astronomy during this time frame. Six cycles ago (in the summer of 2022) the new James Webb Space Telescope opened the doors to the universe, as it gave us our first glimpses into the extraordinary wonders of deep, deep space.
And on the earthly plane, new beginnings or shifts in direction are often seen during this period, as happened in late January of 2021, when the newly minted Biden/Harris administration in the US began launching widescale administrative reforms, putting into action a comprehensive plan to tackle the raging coronavirus pandemic. Other major initiatives at that time included a sweeping economic rescue plan, measures related to environmental protection and climate change (later quashed by Republicans), and measures to address ethical issues, human rights issues, and the deep divisions in that country. At the time it was a well-thought-out agenda, which also included plans for stabilizing relationships with the rest of the world, after the four years of severe erosion under Trump 1.0.
Tragically at that time, it did not foresee Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine, or how the pandemic would play out, or the relentless sycophantic machinations of those desperately trying to cling to the Big Lie – at the expense of democracy, human rights, humanitarian programs, and foreign relations. And it certainly could not have foreseen Israel’s vicious assault on over two million civilians in Gaza, or the global foot dragging with regard to climate change amelioration, or the rapid escalation of AI, and all its implications.
Note that it has now been four cycles since 1,400 tech leaders and academics (including Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Pinterest co-founder Evan Sharp) signed an open letter calling on Artificial Intelligence developers to pause the training of some of their more sophisticated AI experiments, citing risks they claimed could result in “loss of control of our civilization.” Four cycles!! And although there has been some agreement on comprehensive regulations pertaining to artificial intelligence since that early warning, there is now considerable mistrust of those who appear to be in charge of much of this. Indeed, we are now living in a world that has already been taken over by AI on many fronts – a world in which artificiality often replaces reality, a world in which everything has to be questioned. Those AI summations on the internet are often filled with mistakes and videos are becoming more and more surreal! And then there is the question of whether or not AI discoveries are real or fake – as in the claim that AI has supposedly solved 377 previously unsolved math problems. If the claim is true, that certainly opens up many new possibilities; if not true, it is yet another warning regarding the dangers. The question of whether or not AI is capable of helping with human issues and sensibilities is also up in the air. There is much uncharted territory in this realm that is going to require great caution, moving forward.
As we begin this new 260-day cycle, the question of “who (or what) is in control” looms large – on multiple fronts. Over the past two cycles, in many American cities, citizens have had to engage in hand-to-hand combat with lawless federal agents, and some have lost their lives and livelihoods as a result of this. The US Justice department has shown itself to be almost fully under White House control, as is the Department of Homeland Security and the US army.
Nevertheless, history has shown that this trecena has played a prominent role in the past in terms of political “course corrections”, as in 1974 when the impeachment process against President Nixon was formally initiated on the second day of this trecena. In early Feb. of 2021 this was the trecena in place at the start of the dumpster’s second impeachment trial. Then in 2023, four cycles ago, this trecena signalled the start of a whole slew of actions associated with “course corrections” related to the Orange Felon as hearings and trials associated with his widespread wrongdoings, both civil and political, began to play out. It also brought forth his indictment. Similarly, in the past, this trecena has precipitated multiple legal actions relating to his cronies and sychophants.
Two cycles ago, by May of 2025, it had become starkly evident that very strong pushback would be needed in order to counter the tyranny and gross ineptitude of Agent Orange 2.0, and many large scale protests were being organized. Moreover, it had become clear that what was needed was “all hands on deck” on a daily basis to push back against the atrocities. The world at large was also strategically regrouping and forming new alliances, often without the inclusion of the U.S., and that has continued as international trade and security alliances, exclusive of the U.S., have strengthened.
By now, as this “realm of all potential” period comes into play again, there is much greater clarity about what is needed, and people are becoming active, front line warriors in the battle to save humanity and the planet itself. Moving forward for the foreseeable future, that grass roots, “all hands on deck” approach will have to continue if any kind of stability is to be regained. Remember that this is an “anything is possible” kind of period, but clarity of purpose can provide the rudder for moving forward, in preparation for three significant elections (US, Brazil, and Israel) which will take place during the next trecena. Here are the energies that will be in play:
1 Imix (Oct. 10th) – the initiation of the “realm of all potential” as a new 260-day cycle begins, accompanied by a New Moon, as dangerous hurricanes batter the US Gulf coast and Mexico’s southwest Pacific coast, after having rapidly intensified during those high energy days that just completed the last cycle.
Imix is often “cosmos” oriented, related to the “birth” of new possibilities, so combined with the energy of “One” this can be seen as “initiating” (or giving birth to) new directions, and indeed that is what happened two cycles ago with the election of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope.
This is the Global Alliance for Palestine (GAFP) Worldwide Day of Action, marking three years since the escalation of the conflict in Gaza, with hundreds of anti-Israel protests planned to take place worldwide.
During these rallies people will be reminded that during those three years over 74,000 people have been killed by Israeli attacks since the Gaza war began on Oct. 7, 2023, and more than 175,000 people have been wounded. Since the so called “ceasefire” more than 1,400 additional Palestinians have been killed by Israeli strikes. This day of action is part of the leadup to the national elections in Israel scheduled for Oct. 27th which could bring the collapse of Netanyahu.
This day also brings the conclusion of the four-day “Free Families Pilgrimage: From Remembrance to Resistance” march from Seattle to the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, which was part of a National week of Action Against ICE, in the US. At this time there will be a Solidarity Day rally at the Northwest Detention Center, La Resistencia and Urban Grace Church.
It has now been one cycle since Minnesota’s statewide day of non-violent moral action and reflection (last January), at which time there was “no work, no school, no shopping — only community, conscience, and collective action” that focused on the goal of getting ICE out of that state.
Currently this is also the final day of World Space week, World Mental Health Day, and “Let Freedom Read” Day, on the final day of Banned Books Week, where the focus will be on action that can be taken to defend books from censorship. Note that PEN America has documented nearly 34,000 book bans in public schools in the US since 2021.
In addition, this is World Migratory Bird Day, the second of two this year, with this one celebrated in Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, with the theme “Every Bird Counts”. In North Korea this is also Party Foundation Day, the celebration of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea in 1945, an annual public holiday that includes mass events and military parades.
It has now been five cycles since the spring of 2023 when 18 countries signed the European Defence Agency (EDA)’s Collaborative Procurement of Ammunition project for the procurement of ammunition to supply Ukraine with artillery shells and replenish Member States’ national stockpiles. The question now is: who is helping Ukraine NOW, at a time when Russia seems to be bombarding Kyiv on a daily basis? And WHEN is this going to end???
This marks eight cycles since this energy initiated Joe Biden’s first full trecena as the new U.S. president, in 2021, after his inauguration 9 days earlier. By that time more than 270 Congressional staffers had signed onto a letter asking US Senators to convict the dumpster in the then-forthcoming impeachment trial to try to prevent him from ever running again. (Those signatures soon grew to over 550, but his full impeachment was blocked by his sychophants.) Ten years earlier this energy was in place when Egypt’s President Mubarak stepped down and handed over all presidential powers to the Egyptian Armed Forces. As of this day there are only 25 days remaining until the US Midterm elections.
Back in the summer of 1503, prior to the arrival of the Spanish in Mesoamerica, this was the energy in place when Montezuma II (Motecuhzoma Xocoyotzin) took the throne of the Aztec Empire. Little did the Aztecs know at that time that their world would soon be turned upside down.
2 Ik’ (Oct. 11th) – a “dynamically balancing” energy associated with “wind, breath, and spirit”, as was in place on that early February day in 1974 when the House voted to authorize the Judiciary Committee to investigate grounds for impeaching President Nixon. In 1814 this was the energy in place when British troops set fire to the White House.
Currently this is the UN’s International Day of the Girl, marking the 15th anniversary of the celebration of this day that promotes the human rights of the girl child in all areas, and helps to support their development. It is also National Coming Out Day, and the opening day for the Roy Lichtenstein centennial exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Lichtenstein was a pioneering, and highly influential Pop artist.
In India this is the start of Navratri, the Nine Nights of Devi, nine nights of battle between good and evil, at the start of India’s big festival season. Specifically this is Shardiya Navratri, an auspicious Hindu Masik Durgashtami day associated with the arrival of the dazzling 10-armed warrior Goddess Durga, who comes in to battle against the forces of evil that threaten peace and prosperity, in order to restore cosmic balance. This Hindu deity represents the positive and compassionate female forces of the universe, and is generally seen as the great divine mother whose name translates as “the one who eliminates sufferings”.

Her Navratri festival takes place throughout this trecena.
Durga is seen as the protector of all that is good and harmonious in the universe. Traditionally this would be the day of her arrival on an elephant, at the beginning of a ten-day day festival that involves colourful processions, performance arts, pagentry, prayers and traditional songs and dances dedicated to the goddess.
3 Ak’b’al (Oct. 12th) – the “activation of darkness”, associated with deep mysteries and sometimes the unexpected, and also morality and ethics – as could be seen last January when huge, spontaneous, anti-ICE protests were taking place in cities across the US, as people braved freezing temperatures and bitter winter conditions to protest vehemently against the murders and other horrors being perpetuated by ICE agents. On that day, the day after the shooting of Minnesota resident Alex Pretti, Senator Amy Klobishar said that “They (ICE) have crossed the line of morality, legality, and decency.” By that point it was estimated that there were some 73,000 people in custody – including some 3,800 children.
Currently this is Thanksgiving Day in Canada, and Columbus Day in the U.S., an increasingly controversial observance, begun in 1792, to commemorate Christopher Columbus’s landing in the “new world” in 1492. However, since it has now been estimated that over 100 million people inhabited those regions at the time of that 1492 landing, the absurdity of that “new world” claim can now be seen quite clearly. For this reason this day is now celebrated as Indigenous People’s Day (aka Native American Day) in 18-20 states, as well as in Washington, DC. Indeed, in 2021 President Biden issued a proclamation officially commemorating Indigenous Peoples’ Day, becoming the first US president to do so.
In Spain this is celebrated as Hispanic Day, a national public holiday that commemorates the legacy of Spain worldwide, particularly the “claiming for Spain” of the Americas. In many places this is known as El Día de la Raza (“The Day of the Race”), a day to highlight the heritage and cultural diversity of Latin Americans wherever they live and to recognize their resistance to the infiltration of Europeans. In Mexico this is now known as the “Day of the Pluricultural Nation”. Peru celebrates this as “Indigenous Peoples and Intercultural Dialogue Day”, and Uruguay celebrates it as the “Day of the Americas”. In Venezuela and in Belize it is specifically known as El Día de la Resistencia Indigena (The Day of Indigenous Resistance).
This is the start of the four-day Geneva Peace Forum (formerly known as Geneva Peace Week) that brings together global peace keepers for four days of discussions (Oct. 12-15), and also marks the beginning of Anti-Slavery Week that runs until Oct. 18th. Note that Anti-Slavery International hosts an extensive website that highlights many of the forms of slavery that still exist in the world today. Click here for information on the work being done in the fight towards freedom. Click here for actions that can be taken in many different areas to help in this battle for equality.
In May of 1941 this was the energy in place at the conclusion of the 8 month long German bombing campaign against the UK known as The Blitz.
4 K’an (Oct. 13th) – a “defining” energy associated with the resurrection of youthful vitality, coinciding at this time with the UN’s International Day for Disaster Reduction.
This was famed fashion and costume designer Bob Mackie’s Maya birth energy. He passed at age 87 one month ago after a lifetime of “fabulousness”.
5 Chikchan (Oct. 13th) – associated with the “blessing of lifeforce”, coinciding at this time with the the 100th anniversary of the publication of the beloved children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh. Pooh Bear once said:
If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together… there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
This is also celebrated fashion designer Ralph Lauren’s 87th birthday. Happy birthday Ralph! In addition, this is the Maya birth energy of ground-breaking astronomer Harlow Shapley who is credited with being the discoverer of the dimensions of our Milky Way galaxy, and of finding the location of its centre.
6 Kimi (Oct. 15th) a “foundational” type of energy that can often manifest as a kind of “equalization everywhere” type of force, which can often bring a sense of “release”. This is sometimes oriented around the setting of foundations for restructuring or for “regeneration”, now coinciding with International ShakeOut Day – the day for Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills.
It has been five full cycles since the disgraced, twice-impeached, multiply-indicted, criminally convicted, war-mongering, “unfathomably re-elected” then-ex-occupant of the White House began his re-election campaign-of-vengence by delivering a violent rhetoric in Waco, Texas, on the 30th anniversary of the Waco seige, “one of the deadliest law enforcement altercations in US history”. That was the prelude for what became his second deadly term.
7 Manik’ (Oct. 16th) – a “self-generating” type of energy generally associated with the idea of reciprocity, symbolized by the Deer – often a good energy for “generating sustenance”, for being involved in humanitarian activities, or for working through negotiations or joint ventures. As it happens, this is tying in well with the UN’s World Food Day, one of the most celebrated days of the UN, commemorating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization.
Hundreds of events will take place globally at this time to promote worldwide awareness and action with regard to global hunger and food-related needs – needs which are so profound in places such as Gaza, Ukraine, Lebanon, Sudan, and everywhere where people are oppressed or in conflict.
This is also World Anaesthesia Day, commemorating the first successful use of anaesthesia in 1846 and honouring the work done by anaesthesiologists, with the focus this year being “Anaesthesiology Along the Patient Pathway”, and the start of the Jasper Dark Sky Festival that runs through until Oct. 25th.
Traditionally it was recognized that there could be a strong sacrificial aspect to 7 Manik’ as well, as happened under this influence in October of 2016, when FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congress indicating that he was “reopening” the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, an action that had catastrophic consequences for the US and the world.
8 Lamat (Oct. 17th) – a “resurrection” type of force associated with Venus as a “heralding” energy, aligned with leadership; traditionally a Maya “Celebration of Abundance” day, this energy was known as “Rabbit” in some ancient Mesoamerican regions, and was seen as a symbol of prosperity and proliferation. When this was in place eight cycles ago (January, 2021) the US Senate passed a budget resolution that allowed for the passage of President Biden’s $1.9tn Covid-19 relief package in the coming weeks without Republican support – one of the few important bills they were able to get through without being blocked by Republicans.
Currently this is the UN’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, with this year’s theme being “Ending social and institutional maltreatment acting together for just, peaceful, and inclusive societies”.
Perfectly timed for this 8 Lamat day, 17 days prior to the US Midtermn elections, this is a No Kings: Vote Early Day of Action, billed as “a day of nonpartisan voter participation, being in community with each other, and making sure every eligible voter has a plan, knows their options, and is ready to make their voice count”.
In B.C., this is election day for general local elections.
Eight Lamat is the Maya Calendar birth energy of renowned zoologist Dame Jane Goodall, who was the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees and a “tireless advocate for the protection and restoration of our natural world”. A much admired and much loved advocate for animal rights, Jane passed in October 2025, at age 91, while on a speaking tour. She was awarded the title of Messenger for Peace by the UN in 2002.
9 Muluk (Oct. 18th) – representative of “the outward projection of water”, this is a long lasting, path-finding, and often “shape-shifting” type of force, that can also precipitate strong weather events, as it did two cycles ago when enormous EF3 tornadoes struck St. Louis, Missouri and parts of Kentucky, as part of a powerful storm system that brought more than 70 tornadoes and destructive hail to several different states.
This is also marking eight cycles since it was reported that the world had turned “upside down” due to Covid-19.
Currently this is
- the opening of the UN’s COP17 Biodiversity Conference, in Yerevan, Armenia (Oct. 18-30), as thousands of government officials, scientists, and activists representing some 200 countries gather in Armenia for the world’s most important biodiversity conference, as efforts continue to find ways to stem habitat loss globally and preserve sensitive ecosystems.
- Canada’s National Healthcare Aide Day, first created in Manitoba, and Persons Day in commemoration of the historic day in 1929 when women were included in the legal definition of “persons”.
- the final day of Anti-Slavery Week in the UK
- the one year anniversary of the massive No Kings 2.0 (No Thrones No Crowns No Kings) rallies that took place in some 2,700 locations across the US, in one of the largest single-day protests in American history. The No Kings 1.0 had taken place the previous June, at which time there were over 2000 protests in the US and many in other countries (overall, 2169 protests in 29 countries).
- the day of China’s Double Ninth (Chongyang) Festival, aka Height Ascending Festival or Chrysanthemum Festival, aka Seniors’ Day – the day when many will visit the graves of ancestors to pay respects and clean the stones.
-
As chrysanthemums are considered to have cleansing qualities these flowers are prominent at this time. The Chinese pronunciation for the word “nine” is similar to that for the word “forever”, symbolizing longevity. As it happens this ties in perfectly with today’s 9 Muluk, which is itself a “double nine”, as Muluk is the 9th day in the sequence of 20 Maya days. According to the I Ching, two nines is seen as “doubly auspicious”.
10 Ok (Oct. 19th) – a Burner Day representative of “foundational” fire (or “heart fire”), often associated with love, protection, guidance, and justice, now marking six cycles since the release of those first stunning images taken by the new James Webb Space Telescope, the largest and most complex observatory ever sent into space at the time of its launch in 2021.
Traditionally 10 Ok would have been seen as an energy that “takes the fire”, as in the sense of setting something up for action. It is an energy that can provide a “correction” if some significant “course of action” adjustments are needed.
In 1968 this is the energy that was in place when Senator and prominent civil rights activist Robert F. Kennedy was mortally wounded (shortly around midnight) during the California Primary convention. He died some 26 hours later.
This is the Maya birth energy of Ales Bialiatski, a Belarusian pro-democracy activist who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022. It is also the Maya birth energy of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
11 Chuwen (Oct. 20th) – a “change” oriented, “timeweaver” type of force that can prompt us to have fun, but can also remind us to “be on our toes” – now marking two 260-day cycles since the Vatican’s Mass of Inaugural for Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter’s Square, which was attended by world leaders as he officially began his pontificate.
In 1920 this was in place at the founding of the League of Nations, the first worldwide governmental organization with a mission to maintain world peace. That was when the Treaty of Versailles came into force after the first world war, formalizing the end of war between Germany and the Allied Powers.
Currently this is Dussehra, the final day of Shardiya Navratri, one of India’s most significant Hindu festivals that celebrates the triumph of good over evil. In Indian mythology this was associated with the killing of the King of Demons by the dazzling 10-armed warrior Goddess Durga. In legend the Gods (including the trinity of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu) pooled their divine energies to give birth to this great Goddess Durga, who was given the power to destroy evil.
Note that this marks five cycles exactly since a Manhattan Grand Jury voted to indict the Orange Felon for his role in the hush money/falsification of documents, case – the first time in American history that a current or former president had faced criminal charges (but many more felony charges against him followed over subsequent months). The following morning “Trump Indicted” was the front page news in many US and global papers.
12 Eb’ (Oct. 21st) – a “gathering together”, “stream-of-consciousness” type of energy that can be quite intense, often containing within it a “spark” or “essence of revitalization” that hints at refreshing new possibilities. This is the peak viewing time (through to the following morning) for the Orionids meteor shower which was created from debris from the famous Halley’s comet.
In 1962 this was the energy in place at the time of the publication of Rachel Carson’s “Silent Spring”, which documented the environmental harm being caused by pesticides. This is seen as a book that sparked the environmental movement, and is seen as “one of the 25 greatest science books of all time”. This is also the Maya birth energy of Edith Cavell, the British nurse who saved so many lives during World War I.
It has now been eight cycles since the start of the dumpster’s second Senate impeachment trial, associated with his “incitement of insurrection”, and six cycles exactly since the release of a 72-page report categorically rebutting each of the claims made in court by the dumpster and his supporters over the 2020 election results. The report, put together by a group of conservatives, including prominent lawyers and retired federal judges, looked at more than 60 court cases the dumpster and his supporters filed and lost in six key battleground states, and reached the “unequivocal” conclusion that all their claims were unsupportable – the election had been LOST, not “Stolen”.
If people had been attentive to these events, and had followed through with rational actions, the chaotic and destructive state of affairs in the US that has crashed through the past few years could well have been averted. But the same old toxic lies continued to be repeated again and again and again, ultimately leading to the election that brought forth the totally inept and destructive administration that has been fomenting so much pain, uncertainty, instability, chaos, and destruction on so many levels within the US, and in the world at large. But at this point, with just 13 days remaining until the US Midterm elections, the people of that country are gearing up to vote on what they want that country to be, as they move forward. It is entirely possible that enough people will make the call that will lead to the dumpster’s removal, one way or another, possibly via a third impeachment or through the 25th Amendment. Note that 13 B’en (the next day) has been impeachment- related in the past.
In Egypt this is the day when the statues of Ramses II, Ra the sun god, and Amun, the principal deity, located deep in the sanctum sanctorum at Abu Simbel, will be lit by the sun during the Sun Festival. This only happens on two days during the year (Feb. 22nd & Oct. 22nd).
13 B’en (Oct. 22nd) – “transformational personal authority”, an energy under which many highly transformative events have taken place in the past, as in the death of Queen Elizabeth I in 1603, the inception of the Russian Revolution of 1917, the launch of Sputnik I by the USSR (signalling the beginning of the Space Age) in 1957, the toppling of the monarchy in Iran in 1979, the election of Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006, and the arrival of China’s Tianwen-1 mission at Mars in early 2021.
In 2019, this was the energy in place when the House Judiciary committee laid out its procedures for their first impeachment investigation of the dumpster. Then again, in February of 2021, this same energy was in place at the time of his second impeachment trial, for “incitement of insurrection”. As this is an intensive, transformation-oriented, force that is also associated with self determination, events at this time can be quite consequential, as seen ten cycles ago (in May of 2020) when the U.S. erupted with widespread protests and rioting after the horrific death of George Floyd the evening before during his arrest by a police officer. This marked a major “turning point” that rapidly escalated the Black Lives Matter protest movement for racial equality and justice.
Currently this the 31st National Day of Protest known as The October 22 Coalition to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation.
As this is an intense transformation-oriented energy, associated with personal authority and self determination, choices made by individuals (including VOTERS) at this time are likely to be significantly consequential. GO TO IT, VOTERS IN THE US – NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!! Vote early if you can, or vote on election day, in 12 days time.

An in-depth analysis of the energies encoded in the Sacred Maya Calendar and the impact of those energies on daily life.
