Maya Calendar Energies At Work In The World

The Maya date was 4 Ajaw 3 K’ank’in, equivalent to Dec. 21, 2012 – not the “end” of the calendar, but the completion of the 13th Bak’tun, a key date that marked the beginning of a new Great Cycle of Time. As always, the energies encoded in the calendar continue on. As described in Manual for the Soul, A Guide to the Energies of Life, the 260 day cycle that forms the foundation for the Maya Calendar is comprised of 20 trecenas (weeks), each containing 13 days, each of which represents a unique energy with a very special meaning. These energies as they manifest, at work and at play, are the focus of this blog.

It was a sure bet that, with the tripling of all those numerical powers over the last 13 days in the context of a trecena that is often highly dramatic, the last trecena would be intense. What happened is that “intense” mushroomed into “explosive”, as the wildfires in the west raged across 12 states and sent smoke across the country, Read the full article…

Expect the unexpected – that is often the thought when this trecena comes into view. And this time, there is even more reason for that alert. If you happen to live in or near Denver this will be right on schedule as forecasters are saying that Colorado can expect “three seasons in three days” just as this trecena is coming Read the full article…

Hurricane Laura approaching the Gulf coast, Typhoon Bavi barrelling down on Korea, horrific wildfires scorching California, the Gong Show in Washington (which some refer to as the Republican National Convention), the Black Lives Matter protests that continue on in many cities, and the March on Washington, aka the “Get Your Knee Off Our Necks” Commitment March – all this, along Read the full article…

Given the varying kinds of storms that have spanned the entire 13 days of the last trecena, from the lightning storm at the very beginning on the coast of B.C., to Hurricane Isaias on the Atlantic coast, to the monsoons in Kerala, to the severe thunderstorms in Scotland at the end of the trecena, the question of whether or not Read the full article…

Hurricane Katrina and the inundation of New Orleans in 2005, the monsoon rains that sparked flash flooding and landslides in New South Wales and Queensland in 2012 at the same time as “buckets of rain” and powerful winds were spawning tornadoes across Texas, the storms of “biblical proportion” that swept through Europe last November – these and many more such Read the full article…

High in the sky at this time, not far from the Big Dipper, a comet is streaking across the sky. And at the same time, just as this trecena was coming in, this planet lost a great soul, with the passing of long-serving U.S. Congressman, civil right activist, and “the Conscience of the United States Congress”, John Lewis. Much will Read the full article…

It is truly head spinning to see how quickly massive change is taking place these days. And with this trecena beginning right after the Full Thunder Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, and the conjunction of bright Sirius (the Dog Star) with the Sun, with Sirius in a position where is it seen by some as sending “booster energy” to our sun, Read the full article…

We are now officially into summer. Venus is bringing in the dawn, and the moon is waxing from New to Full, exactly spanning a 13 day period that is going from a Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse on the last day of the last trecena to a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse on the last day of this Ajaw (Sun) trecena. This Read the full article…

A few weeks ago it did not seem like “joining hands” and gathering together in large forces around the world would be anything that we would see again anytime soon, but as this Manik’ trecena returns this is exactly what we are seeing, despite the global pandemic. [Click here for the Podcast for this trecena] This is happening because the Read the full article…

Power, mystery, stealth, adaptability, sheer “awesomeness” – all qualities of the Jaguar, the force that leads us through the thirteen days of this Ix trecena. Traditionally seen as a “warrior” type of power related to things of the earth, this jaguar-oriented energy is aligned with high magic and even mastery over things of an unseen nature. It is not unusual Read the full article…
