The Jaguar is snarling, perhaps because so much is riding on this particular time frame and it is the task of the jaguar to oversee it. Once again this is a warrior type of energy generally associated with authority, rulership and things of the earth. It is aligned with high magic and even mastery over things of an unseen nature.
During this time frame there is often an emphasis on significant transformation from one state of being to another, often pushed forward by individuals who, having “reached their limit” in one way or another are compelled to become “jaguar warriors” who must “go to battle” for particular causes. For this reason the transformations that can unfold at this time can be quite awesome.Often the very first day of this trecena can be a turning point that can be pivotal even in terms of the fate of nations, as seen during the French Revolution in the 18th century when some of the most significant events of that era took place under that “initiation of transformation” influence. This is a trecena during which many great shifts have occurred, as in the start of the Russian Revolution in 1917, the start of the London Blitz in 1940, the massive Tibetan uprising against Chinese aggression in Llasa that began under this influence in 1959, and the mass exodus from the city of Aleppo, Syria in July of 2012 when fierce fighting drove thousands of people to seek new lives elsewhere.
Three cycles ago this trecena saw the start of the coalition air strikes against terrorist groups in Syria, major climate change rallies and summit, and the historic Scottish referendum vote that resulted in Scotland remaining as part of the UK. At this time it will be the fifth day of this trecena that will be pivotal as that is the day that coincides with Nov. 8th, the long awaited day of the US presidential election.
And what extraordinary timing as this will be 5 Etz’nab’, a “knife edge” type of force that holds the potential to bring things to a definitive conclusion, as in the official surrender of Japan at the end of World War II in 1945.
In the past many significant events “fateful” to nations have occurred under this influence, including the massive “Mobilization Peace” demonstrations in Washington, D.C in 1969 where hundreds of thousands protested against the Vietnam War. The attempted assassination of President Nixon in 1974, and the assassination of Lebanese cabinet minister Pierre Gemayel in 2006 both occurred under this force.
On that same 5 Etz’nab’ day in 2006 a U.S. federal judge struck down the presidential authority to designate certain groups (or supporters of such groups) as terrorists on the grounds that such authority was “unconstitutionally vague”. In the context of the current election one might ask: Should this not have applied to presidential candidates as well???
And lest we forget – one would hope that all the fuss of the U.S. election will not overshadow the importance of honouring the sacrifices made by the millions who have given their very lives for the cause of freedom. They must be “turning in their graves” at the thought of the battles going on worldwide at the moment. No doubt they would be horrified by the implications of what has been going on in the U.S.
Of course there will be memorial services in many countries in honour of this day, including a large parade in New York City. In Canada one impressive initiative associated with this meaningful day is the placement of poppies on every headstone, organized by the No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation. In the UK special events will take place between Nov. 11th and 13th (8 Imix to 10 Ak’b’al ), with a special “Silence in the Square” event happening in London’s Trafalgar Square on 10 Ak’b’al. Canada’s National Aboriginal Veterans Day falls on Nov. 8th, at which time the thousands of First Nations men and women who have served this country will be honoured. Many are still serving in peacekeeping missions.
Significantly, this Jaguar/Transformation-oriented trecena is Hillary Clinton’s Maya birth trecena. She was born under the influence of 9 Ik’ (9 Wind), the “birth” daysign of Quetzalcóatl, the great Feathered Serpent that traditionally symbolizes Higher Knowledge and represents the portal between Earth and the Heavens.
Two cycles ago this “sky cord” type of energy coincided with the return from the ISS of Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, European astronaut Samantha Christoforreti, and US astronaut Terry Virts. The last time it coincided with preparation for the return to Earth of US astronaut Scott Kelly and cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko, with their return coinciding with the final day of this trecena.
In this particular form this 9 Ik’ deity was known as Ehécatl, a specific aspect of Quetzalcóatl that was traditionally seen as being symbolic of spirit, breath, far-reaching communication, and things of a life-giving nature. It was known as a force that can “blow” in any direction to bring about change. Indeed, many tornadoes have manifested under this influence. At this time this energy will be in place four days after the election.
So, here we go. Whatever happens this is a trecena that will be highly transformational. By 13 Kimi the world will not be the same. The election will over and the fallout will have to be addressed. Here are the energies that will be in play:
1 Ix (Nov. 4th) – the initiation of the Jaguar’s power of transformation, at a time when a 10-hr. humanitarian pause for relief for Aleppo goes into effect; precisely five cycles since Justin Trudeau won the leadership of Canada’s Federal Liberal party with 80% support. Nicolas Maduro, who is currently under threat of being impeached, won the Venezuelan presidential election on that same day. Seven cycles since the “marker” 11:11:11 date which was of importance to many.
2 Men (Nov. 5th) – the “generation” of the Eagle’s “higher vision”; the day of the TEDxCERN “Ripples of Curiosity” webcast event and the opening of a major exhibition of Bob Dylan’s art work (yes – art, not music) at the Halcyon Gallery in Central London3 Kib’ (Nov. 6th) – an activation energy often associated with the “restoration of order”, at this time coinciding with the end of Daylight Savings time. Maya birth energy of the legendary Bob Dylan who not only turned 75 last May but is also receiving a Nobel Prize for literature in December. What a year he is having!
4 Kab’an (Nov. 7th) – a “defining” energy associated with evolutionary movement, the powerful energy carved into the centre of the Aztec Sun Stone, now in place on the eve of the US election. This time this coordinates with the “seating” of a new Maya month and the opening of the 2016 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Marrakech, Morocco (the 22nd yearly session).
5 Etz’nab’ (Nov. 8th) – the “blessing” of “flint” – a “knife edge” type of force that can be quite dazzling and attention-getting, an energy that also contains the potential to bring things to a definitive conclusion, as in the official surrender of Japan at the end of World War II in 1945. Five cycles ago the city of Boston was completely shut down under this influence to allow for a massive manhunt for the Boston marathon bombers. At the present time this energy coincides with the fiercely contended presidential election in the U.S. and National Aboriginal Veterans Day in Canada.
6 Kawak (Nov. 9th) – a “storm everywhere” force; an energy that often has more to do with the triggering of a “storm of compassion or emotion” than a weather related event. At this point, the day after the election, there is SURE to be a storm of some kind raging.
7 Ajaw (Nov. 10th) – “self generating” full sun; traditionally a great Aztec feast day devoted to “Seven Flower”, the god of flowers, games, music, and dance. This correlates this time with World Science Day for Peace and Development, one cycle since the start of Iron Maiden’s The Book of Souls World Tour, via Ed Force One, their tour plane with Maya hieroglyphs on the tail8 Imix (Nov. 11th) – the “resurrection” of birth, this time in conjunction with Remembrance Day/ Veterans’ Day.
9 Ik’ (Nov. 12th) – the “outward projection” of wind, breath, spirit – the calendrical daysign of Ehécatl/Quetzalcóatl, as noted above; an energy that can “blow” in any direction and bring change, as in tornadoes that have often manifested under this influence; Hillary Clinton’s Maya birthday.
10 Ak’b’al (Nov. 13th) – a combination of the foundational energy of “Source” (the number 10) in conjunction with “darkness”, as in the Temple associated with deep esoteric mysteries. The Jaguar energy that runs through this trecena is very much a part of this force. At this time this coincides with the first anniversary of the dreadful 2015 Paris attacks.
11 K’an (Nov. 14th) – an “inspirational” type of energy associated with youthful vitality, this time in conjunction with the Full Moon (Beaver Moon), the biggest and brightest “Supermoon” since 194812 Chikchan (Nov. 15th) – “dedicated” lifeforce – a powerful force that represents a doubling of the intensity of the lifeforce-oriented Quetzalcóatl energy – a type of influence that can significantly draw people into action for a common cause. At this time this day coincides with the national #NoDAPL (No Dakota Access Pipeline) solidarity rallies
13 Kimi (Nov. 16th) – “transformational death” (or “transformational foundations”) – a powerful “return to Source” type of force that can often pack a huge punch, as seen in the intense weather systems and even volcanoes have occurred in the past under this influence. One cycle since the Super Tuesday presidential race primaries in the U.S. last March.
