A looming government shutdown in the U.S., an imminent showdown over a strong congressional push to release the infamous Epstein files, vindictive investigations of a U.S. president’s “enemies”, an “urgent” gathering of more than 800 senior military officers who are being called to Virginia from all over the world for a mysterious briefing about restoring “warrior ethos”, and a looming threat of a “full force” deployment of federal troops to . . . Portland??

These are just some of the bizarre scenarios in play during this current period – and much of it seems to point towards calamitous shakeups that could once again rock the foundations of the U.S. But then that is what happened exactly one cycle ago (last January) with the inauguration of dumpster 2.0 and the disastrous immediate aftermath. At that same time massive wildfires had turned whole sections of Los Angeles into raging infernos. Tens of thousands of people were under evacuation order as thousands of homes and other structures were being consumed by the flames.

This time through there will be a lot going on once again – but in addition to many extremely high stakes, over-the-top, political machinations and blatantly outrageous overreaches, there will be a wide range of festivals, feast days, international days of importance, significant cultural events, and the start of month-long themes and commemorations for all of October.

As happens so fequently during this period, it is possible that many rapid, life-changing events will take place during this period, as seen with those LA fires one cycle ago. Two cycles ago this trecena began with more than 100 tornadoes reported across several states, that flattened or damaged hundreds of buildings. Eight cycles ago (January of 2020) this trecena brought the initial shock waves relating to Covid-19, culminating in the declaration by the WHO, on the final day of this time frame, of a global health emergency.

There is often an “opulence” aspect to events that take place during this period, sometimes tied in with great wealth, or a kind of overwhelming, over-the-top sense of excess, symbolized traditionally by the young Maya corn god who represents exuberance for life and the bounties of the earth (as does the lizard, the Aztec namesake for this trecena). Although this tends to open up all sorts of possibilities, the trecena overall can often manifest as a time of “testing”, as new ideas or ventures begin to take shape and the process of nurturing new endeavors begins. The question at this point is – “what will be the nature of this testing at this time”?

Last January thousands of people in LA had to grapple with staggering losses from the wildfires at the same time as millions were bracing for the impact of “dumpster 2.0”, with most people being incapable of predicting how bad things could actually get. This time people are well aware of the kind of wide-spread devastation that can be wrought by White House whims, decrees, and vindictiveness, and are cognizant of the rampant hypocrisy that supports it. They are also much more aware of the diabolically aggressive nature of major players on the world stage, such as Putin, who is now actively “testing” NATO’s defensive capabilities in Europe, and Netanyahu who has vowed to continue with his horrifying campaign in Gaza.

From an energy perspective, this trecena was seen in ancient Mesoamerica as being under the patronage of a formidable deity known as the Itztlacoliuhqui, the God of Frost, often associated with coldness, punishment, rigidity, and even blindness, sometimes seen as representing “blindness to the implications” of what others might have to suffer through harsh treatment. This was blatantly and horrifically on display in the US the last time this trecena was in place, particularly right after the inauguration.

And looking to the past, a myriad of examples can be found relating to what can happen when “blindness to realities” plays out, as this time frame has highlighted many of the key issues associated with the tawdry Trumpian saga over the past few years. Indeed, some of the dumpster’s worst nightmares have manifested during this time frame, beginning back in 2018 when his ex-campaign manager was found guilty on 8 counts of tax fraud, and his former “fixer” pleaded guilty to a number of other felony charges. In January of 2020 this same trecena brought the start of the dumpster’s first impeachment trial, for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. One cycle after that, in October of that same year, as the world was grappling with Covid, the “super-spreader-in-chief” was either denying that there was a global health problem or making extremely dangerous claims even as hundreds of thousands of people were dying, even in his own country. This trecena was in place when the early rounds in the sleazy hush money trial were playing out in New York, but then, one cycle later, after being officially convicted in that regard, he became the first convicted felon to take up residence in the White House.

Traditionally, this trecena’s “God of Frost” patron deity provides a reminder of potential jeopardies. He is sometimes shown holding a broom, which can be read as representing the idea of “sweeping clean” whatever might endanger Germination, in order for new life to emerge. The general idea with regard to this patron is to carefully nurture, but not endanger, new opportunities, because if caution is not exercised, there could be disasterous results. Note that the mythological story of this former Lord of the Dawn tells of him being turned into the God of Frost when the Sun shot an arrow back at him when he tried to engage in a shooting match with the sun. This seems to suggest that anyone who tries to “outshine the sun” during this period should really tread cautiously, or they may find that the sun will shoot back! Ultimately, any attempt to usurp the sun will be monumentally self-defeating.

The second patron aligned with this time frame (shown in the trecena image above), was known as Black Smoking Mirror, representative of the mysteries of the cosmos and “the fate of the earth”. In the past many key events have happened during this period that have set trajectories for “the fate of the earth”, as when Napoléon Bonaparte proclaimed himself Emperor of France in 1804, and when Hitler acquired dictatorial powers in 1933, and then became Führer of Germany the following year. But for both of these oppressors this trecena later brought a turn of the tide, as Napoléon was exiled to Elba during this trecena in 1814, and Hitler died at his own hands during this trecena in 1945. At that time the unconditional surrender of the German forces in Italy took place near the end of the trecena, along with the surrender of German forces in Berlin. Other key events during this time frame have included the “Saturday Night Massacre” related to Watergate in 1973, Mikhail Gorbachev’s election as Secretary General of the Soviet Communist Party in 1985, and Barack Obama’s acceptance as the Democratic candidate for the U.S. presidency in 2008.

In the past many leaders have intuitively aligned themselves with that key idea of Germination that is characteristic of this period – jumping in and opening up all sorts of new possibilities. Indeed, it was four cycles ago when the DoJ’s Special Counsel Jack Smith began his federal investigations into the wrongdoings of the then-disgraced, twice-impeached, defeated, former “illegal” occupant of the White House. But then, one cycle ago, came the . . . gasp . . . return to the White House of this same individual, by then an officially a convicted felon, and many of the DoJ’s still outstanding criminal proceedings (including the classified documents case and the Jan. 6th case) suddenly “disappeared”, with a highly problematic US Supreme Court having been a central factor in this charade. And now the “fate of the earth” remains on shakey ground, with a strong possibility that its “trajectory” will shift once again, dramatically, in keeping with this trecena’s past tendency to foment “big”, highly consequential, events, often involving “high drama” related to “outrageous behaviour”.

As we move through this period, the Maya day 8 Chuwen, on Oct. 5th, is of particular importance as this is the most auspicious festival day for K’iche’ Maya daykeepers. This is a sacred day oriented around the renewal of calendar traditions and the initiation of new daykeepers, but traditionally this was seen as a special kind of force aligned with “weaving together” past and future to help the “new entity” (associated with the fate of the world) gain a foothold on the road of life. When this was in place last January thousands gathered for a “People’s March” rally in Washington DC, with attendees representing a wide range of progressive causes from immigration and democracy to climate change, abortion rights, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrants and the issue of Israel’s war against Gaza. It was seen as a coalition of advocacy groups, a “call to community” – to push back against the notion of hopelessness, and demoralization, to “make visible a resistance” to the forthcoming inauguration.

That was part of some 350 anti-dumpster events that took place across the country. As the Resist2025 site put it, “We will fight every attack on our freedoms by Trump and his willing sycophants with every bit of energy, passion, skill and resources we have, and we’re inviting people to join us.” Not only has that resistance continued, even since then, but it has gained considerable strength. Resistance was germinated and is now flourishing!

The day that millions were dreading, the unthinkable second inauguration of the dumpster, came in two days later, coinciding with the Maya calendar day (10 B’en) aligned with self determination and personal authority, and he wasted no time firing off a whole slew of wrecking ball executive orders, ushering in a whole new era of governmental lawlessness.

As we journey through this energy sequence keep in mind that whatever happens will be “planting the seeds”, and providing the groundwork for what is to follow. This is a period when sacrifices may have to be made to make room for new growth and new life. This may well require the abandonment of old ideas in favour of something new, fresh, life-enhancing, and perhaps even untried. As this trecena holds the potential to bring forth surprises it would be a good idea to exercise caution, care, and prudence with regard to whatever one might want to “germinate” at this time. Certainly, with vigilance, anything “planted” and carefully tended at this time could easily “sprout” into something strong and robust. Coldness, recklessness, and “blindness”, on the other hand, could be very, very problematic, and it appears that, unfortunately, there is a high likelihood that more of that is getting ready to be revealed, both in the U.S. and on the world stage. However, let’s not forget that essential message from the patrons of this trecena – that if someone tries too hard to outshine the sun, the sun will shoot back. 1 K’an (Sept. 28th) – an “initiating” energy associated with germination (or even the creation of new abundance), coinciding with World News Day, the UN’s International Day for Universal Access to Information, which aims “to raise public awareness of the critical role that newsrooms and journalists play in helping people make sense of — and improve — the rapidly changing world around them”. This is a “global awareness campaign to amplify the value of fact-based journalism”.

This is also World Rivers day, a global celebration of the world’s waterways, with emphasis on the importance of keeping the waterways clean, particularly since it has been found that some of the world’s best-known rivers (including the Thames and the Danube) have been contaminated
with dangerously high levels of antibiotics. This year’s theme is: “Our Rivers, Our Future”.

India’s Durga Puja is continuing at this time – the festival aligned with the Goddess Durga, who battles against the forces of evil that threaten peace and prosperity. This Hindu deity represents the positive female forces of the universe, and is generally seen as the great divine mother whose name translates as “the one who eliminates sufferings”. Durga is seen as the protector of all that is good and harmonious in the universe. See Oct. 2nd for the final day of this festival.

This is also Confucius’s birthday (celebrated on Sept. 28th in the Gregorian calendar), sometimes called “Teacher’s Day” as Confucius is known as China’s “First Teacher”. In addition this is the final day of “The Song is Over”, The Who’s North American farewell tour, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, at the end of a six-decade touring career.

This is Day 1,312 of the Russia-Ukraine war, marking five cycles since President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s impassioned address to British MPs via video feed, the first of many such addresses to world parliaments as he called for assistance to help defend Ukraine from Russian attacks. His appeals for assistance are continuing during current meetings at the UN. Since the start of the invasion in 2022, Russia has lost more than 1,105,000 personnel as well as thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, missiles, drones, and other equipment to the war. This was the energy in place in 1858 when Abraham Lincoln warned of the problematic nature of a “house divided”, at the time when he accepted the Republican nomination to be Senator for Illinois.

2 Chikchan (Sept. 29th) – a “dynamic, vitality-oriented, yin-yan” type of energy associated with lifeforce, and often with “justice”, on the final day of the General Debate at the United Nations, although additional plenary meetings in General Assembly Hall will continue in October. This is also the opening day for the 76th International Astronautical Congress, the world’s premier global space conference, being held this year in Sydney, Australia, under the motto of “Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth”.

In addition this is Michelmas, the feast of the Archangels, aka the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel . (See also Oct. 2 re Guardian Angels) and World Heart Day dedicated to raising awareness about how to combat cardiovascular disease.

This is marking three cycles exactly since the first courtroom hearing in the dumpster’s Jan. 6th case, as U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan heard arguments on how to structure a protective order for evidence turned over by prosecutors and addressed the case’s unprecedented mix of legal and political concerns, warning about the limits on what the defendant could publicly say about evidence. At that time the trial was awaiting the Supreme Court decision on the question of presidential immunity.

On that same day two prominent, conservative, legal scholars who had been studying the issue for more than a year published their conclusions that all evidence indicated that the dumpster “cannot be president — cannot run for president, cannot become president, cannot hold office — unless two-thirds of Congress decides to grant him amnesty for his conduct on Jan. 6.” Whatever happened to all that?

3 Kimi (Sept. 30th) – the “activation of death/absolute foundations”, seen in Maya creation mythology as the day when “the first death” was “invented”, coinciding with a secretive “emergency” meeting in Virginia of hundreds of top military commanders who have been summoned from their posts all over the world in order to attend. The highly unusual nature of this summons is raising security concerns, among many others.

This is now marking eight cycles exactly since January 2020 when a 35-year old man in Washington state, who had recently returned home after visiting family in Wuhan in China, became the first person in the US to be diagnosed with Covid-19. At that time the first confirmed case was reported in South Korea, and China began warning the world about the coronavirus. This same 3 Kimi energy was in place in 1918 when a U.S. public health report was released about severe cases of influenza (Spanish Flu) that had broken out at an army base in Kansas several days earlier. This became the trigger for the deadliest pandemic in human history.

This is the UN’s International Translation Day, celebrated on the feast day of St. Jerome, the Patron Saint of Librarians, and the Bible translator who is considered the Patron Saint of Translators. It’s also International Podcast Day. A high-level conference on the situation regarding Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar will take place at the United Nations at this time.

It has now been four cycles exactly since Democrats in the US House of Representatives passed the monumental Inflation Reduction Act – the sweeping $740bn tax, healthcare, and climate change legislation that lowered healthcare costs for millions of Americans and provided for significant climate change action. It also marks six cycles since the US House of representatives voted to pass the revised, and highly consequential, Covid-19 relief bill. In contrast, this is currently the deadline date for US government funding, at a time when congressional leaders are clashing severely over the nature of that funding, as millions of Americans are now on the verge of having to pay significantly more for health care coverage. The dumpster’s admininstration is also requesting an additional $58 million for security services to protect members of the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of government.

In Canada this is the 5th annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, aka Orange Shirt Day, which was designated as a national statutory holiday in June of 2021. The creation of this important day, in remembrance of the roughly 150,000 First Nations, Inuit, and Métis children in Canada who were forced to attend and suffer terrible abuses imposed by church-run residential schools over a period of more than 120 years, and the more than 4,000 children who are believed to have died in those schools, was one of the Calls to Action put forward by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

In 1934 Hitler became Führer of Germany under this influence and in January of 2020 this was in place on the eve of the start of the dumpster’s first impeachment trial in the US Senate, as the rules for the trial were being discussed. This was also in place in August of 2018 at the time of the death of Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General (the world’s top diplomat for 10 years from 1997-2006) and Nobel Peace prize laureate who was well known for quietly reminding world leaders that they needed to put their duty to their citizens above their own political careers.

On a completely different note, this is legendary singer Johnny Mathis’s 90th birthday. Known as one of the best selling artists of the 20th Century, Johnny’s career spanned almost 7 decades (69 continuous years) prior to his retirement from live performing this past May.

4 Manik’ (Oct. 1st) – a “defining” type of energy associated with reciprocity and the energy of deer – a kind of harmonizing energy connected with the natural world, but there is also a strong “sacrificial” aspect to it. In combination with the solar energy of the number four this is a “double sun” type of force, as the deer was seen as an embodiment of the sun. This is coinciding with National Day in China, at the beginning of Golden Week, currently marking the 76th Gregorian anniversary of the proclamation of the founding of The People’s Republic of China. This national seven day holiday can often foment massive traffic jams due to the humungous movement of people.

In addition this is:
• the start of National Arts and Humanities month in the US
• the UN’s International Day for Older Persons, on what would have been former President Jimmy Carter’s 101st birthday
• World Vegetarian Day
• the beginning of Women’s History month in Canada, with this year’s theme being “Women at Work: Economic Growth Past, Present, and Future”
• The start of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, which begins in the evening.
• the beginning of a new fiscal year for the US government
• One cycle since the inauguration of Claudia Sheinbaum, the former mayor of Mexico City, as Mexico’s first woman president (“La Presidenta”). She replaced her mentor, outgoing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, promising to continue to build on the “advances” made by Obrador, furthering the human rights programmes that made Obrador so popular.

5 Lamat (Oct. 2nd) – a “blessing” type of energy associated with Venus, which can serve as a beacon or herald, one cycle since U.S. President Joe Biden delivered his farewell address from the Oval office, just prior to the end of his presidency.

Currently this is:
• the Catholic Feast of the Guardian Angels
• Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, which ends at nightfall
• the UN’s International Day of Non-Violence, always observed on Mahatma Gandhi’s Gregorian birthday
• Dussehra, the final day of Shardiya Navratri, one of India’s most significant Hindu festivals that celebrates the triumph of good over evil. In Indian mythology this was associated with the killing of the King of Demons by the dazzling 10-armed warrior Goddess Durga. In legend the Gods (including the trinity of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu) pooled their divine energies to give birth to this great Goddess Durga, who was given the power to destroy evil

This is marking three cycles since the pivotal moment in history when the grand jury in Georgia investigating the dumpster’s attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss handed down a 97 page indictment that named Trump and 18 others in 41 felony counts. Over 160 separate criminal acts were listed relating to the first felony count, related to violation of the RICO Act, detailing who was involved in each act. The RICO documents stated that the defendants “constituted a criminal organization” (ie. a criminal racketeering enterprise). That was when it became known that there was evidence that the dumpster’s team was behind the Georgia voting system breach. Unfortunately this entire case became significantly stalled and is still “up in the air”. To boot, Fani Willis, the Georgia prosecutor who was dealing with that case, is now being targeted for investigation by the dumpster-controlled DoJ, in yet another politicizing of the law gambit that is becoming commonplace under the current regime.

Five Lamat was the energy in place in 1968 when Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his prophetic speech about being a “drum major for peace”. This is also the Maya birth energy of former astronaut Jim Lovell, who died on Aug. 7th at age 97.

6 Muluk (Oct. 3rd) – the energy of the six directions in conjunction with the purifying or shape-shifting energy of water, marking eight Tzolk’in cycles since the city of Wuhan, the most populous city in Central China, was first put under quarantine lockdown (in the biggest lockdown in world history at that point, in January 2020) in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

It has now been ten cycles since August of 2018 when Paul Manafort, the dumpster’s ex-campaign manager, was found guilty on 8 counts of tax fraud, and (in another court) the dumpster’s former “fixer” Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to a number of other felony charges, one of which implicated the dumpster as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in campaign finance violations. Both were sentenced to prison. Michael Cohen was a key witness in the hush money trial which played out throughout this trecena two cycles ago, which resulted in the dumpster being found guilty on 34 felony counts.

In South Korea this is the Foundation Day public holiday, known as the Festival of the Opening of Heaven, Tangun Day or Gaecheonjeol, commemorating the mythical founding of Korea by Tangun in 2333 BC. The holiday is celebrated with ceremonies on the summit of Mount Manisan on Kanghwa Island, about 25 miles west of Seoul. According to tradition, this is where Tangun offered sacrifices to heaven.

7 Ok (Oct. 4th) – translating as “self-generating” love, guidance, and/or loyalty, this energy is coinciding with World Animal Day and the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, a time for many Blessing of the Animals events. The theme for World Animal Day this year is “Save Animals, Save the Planet!” This special day was initiated in 1931 at a convention of ecologists to highlight the plight of endangered species, and since then has been observed annually as a tribute day for all animals.

This is the start of the UN’s World Space Week, with this year’s theme being “Living in Space”. It is also the starting day for the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival (to Oct. 12).

This energy is now marking 12 cycles since the dramatic hearing before the US House Intelligence Committee in early 2017 when former FBI Director James Comey told that committee for the first time that the FBI was investigating the possible collusion between the dumpster’s campaign and Moscow – the first time a seated president had been under FBI investigation. Three cycles later (in 2019) Comey agreed with the findings of hundreds of prosecutors from both parties that the factual details contained in the Mueller report (about that Russia connection) would be grounds for indicting the dumpster on multiple felony charges for obstruction of justice. This would appear to point to a key motive behind the current “trumped up” revenge indictment – another “vindictive prosecution” situation, referred to by analysts as the “thinnest indictment ever”, currently playing out against James Comey, which legal analysts are saying is sure to be thrown out.

Note as well that 7 Ok was in place at the time of the first Watergate-related convictions, when two high level operatives associated with the Watergate break-in were convicted of conspiracy, burglary, and illegal wiretapping. This was the beginning of the unravelling that led to President Nixon’s resignation.

8 Chuwen, aka 8 Batz’ (Oct. 5th) Day of the Monkey – a “resurrection” type of energy associated with play, creativity, and “time weaving”. This is a highly auspicious day for the Maya, as this is the time when K’iche’ Maya daykeepers celebrate the renewal of their sacred calendar traditions and initiate new daykeepers.

This marks the start of Banned Books Week, with this year’s theme being “Censorship is So 1984: Read for Your Rights”. During this week bookstores, libraries, universities, and other organizations host engaging programs that spotlight censorship. This will culminate on “Let Freedom Read” Day on Oct. 11th.

This is also the opening day for Mental Illness Awareness Week, dedicated to education and increasing awareness about mental health, and is UNESCO’s World Teachers’ Day, with this year’s theme being “AI and education: Preserving human agency in a world of automation”.

This is currently marking 10 cycles exactly since it was reported that the National Enquirer had kept a safe full of damaging “catch and kill” stories about Trump – which was confirmed through David Pecker’s testimony just over two cycles ago, during the hush money trial.

This is the Maya birth energy of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who has been working so tirelessly to garner support for the defense of his country. Happy Maya birthday President Zelenskyy, and bravo for all the critical work that you have been doing. May you and your country long endure!

9 Eb’ (Oct. 6th) – “outward projecting stream of consciousness”, or “outward projecting road”, an energy that could also translate as “immortal healing”, as was in place one cycle ago on President Biden’s last full day in office.

Currently this is coinciding with the Chinese Moon Festival (aka the Mooncake Festival or the Mid-Autumn Festival), one of the largest festivals in mainland China and East Asia.

It is also World Architecture Day, with the 2025 theme being “Hearts and Minds”;  World Habitat Day, with this year’s theme being “Urban Crisis Response”; and the beginning of “announcement week” for this year’s Nobel prizes.

The evening brings the beginning of the Judeo/Christian Feast of the Tabernacles, aka Sukkot, an eight-day Jewish holiday that begins five days after Yom Kippur. Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection the creator provided for the children of Israel when they left Egypt. The celebration of Sukkot involves dwelling in a foliage-covered booth (known as a sukkah) and the use of the “Four Kinds” (arba minim), four special species of plants, in ceremonies. During the first one or two days when work is forbidden, candles are lit in the evening, and festive meals are preceded by a Kiddush blessing and include a special bread called challah, dipped in honey. But where, we might ask, is the protection and the food/harvest for the children of Palestine as the Israeli butcher continues to slaughter innocents in Gaza?

10 B’en (Oct. 7th) – “foundational personal authority”; symbolic of the full authority of maize, this is a strong “pillar” type of energy representative of strength, inner power, and self determination, marking one cycle since the “day of infamy” inauguration of a deranged convicted felon/sex offender as the next U.S. president, at the start of what millions believed could become (and has proven to be) a reign of both insanity and vindictive terror. It was seen as the start of a new era of government lawlessness, as the “dictator on Day 1” declared war on DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in the US and began slashing government programs. Note that on that day he also signed executive order 14149 – Restoring Freedom of Speech and Ending Federal Censorship – but apparently neglected to point out that he only meant for that to apply to himself and his cohorts, but not to anyone else in the country.

Note that in the spring of 1945 this was the energy in place when Hitler committed suicide, two days after the fascist dictator Mussolini was executed by firing squad. In 1973 this was the energy in place at the time of the “Saturday Night Massacre” related to Watergate, and eight cycles ago (in January of 2020) the sham of an impeachment trial was taking place in the US after the horrendous coup attempt.

Three cycles before that, in August of 2018, the Trump administration cancelled more than $200 million in aid for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, and shortly thereafter ended funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency, the main UN program that provided assistance for Palestinian refugees. Shortly after that they cut funding to Palestinian hospitals. One might ask: what connections might be found between those appallingly cruel actions and the absolute catastrophe that has been unfolding in Gaza and the West Bank ever since then? How many thousands of people in that region have lost their lives because of those actions?

Currently this is marking two years since the Oct. 7th, 2023 attacks on Israel that lit the fuse for the devastating war in Gaza. It is thought that at least 48 people taken hostage on that day remain in captivity in Gaza.

Six cycles ago this energy brought not only the filing of tax related criminal charges against the Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg, but also approval of the resolution to form a select committee to investigate the January 6th insurrection. Seven cycles ago (October 2020), this energy brought the release of Totally Under Control, a documentary that highighted the gross failure, mismanagement, and incompetence of the dumpster White House with regard to the pandemic.

Currently this day coincides with the Full Hunter’s Moon (a Supermoon), on the UN’s World Cotton Day. It is also the National Day of Prayer for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding, as part of Mental Illness Awareness week (the first full week of October).

This is Opal Lee’s 99th birthday. Opal is the feisty civil rights activist known as the “Grandmother of Juneteenth”, who fought so long and hard to make Juneteenth a federally-recognized holiday in the U.S. Happy Birthday Opal!

11 Ix (Oct. 8th) – “inspirational magic” in conjunction with the jaguar and the mysteries of the earth, coinciding at this time with the peak of the Draconids Meteor Shower. In 44 BC, Julius Caesar was appointed dictator for life under this influence. A few weeks later he was assassinated.

This marks exactly two cycles since Day 12 of the hush money trial, that began with a strong warning from Judge Merchan that, after ten $1000 fines for violations of the gag order, jail time for Trump would be the next step for any further violations. Six cycles ago (in 2021) this was the energy in place when 15 tax related criminal indictments, including “staggering” federal fraud, conspiracy, and grand larceny charges against the Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg were unsealed in a New York court.

Eight cycles ago (in January of 2020) this was in place when the dumpster’s legal team made their final arguments in the second week of the impeachment trial – a trial where witnesses were not allowed to testify even though 75% of registered voters (bipartisan) thought testimony from witnesses should have been allowed. That was the day when Israel’s attorney-general filed a formal indictment in court against Prime Minister Netanyahu on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

The last time this energy was in place, on the first full day of dumpster 2.0 last January, some 1500 convicted rioters (including 211 violent offenders who had been imprisoned for their roles in the insurrection) were set free after being pardoned by the dumpster the day before.

This is the Maya birth energy of New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, author of 27 books, including “The Great Republican Abdication–A party that no longer believes in American values”.

12 Men (Oct. 9th) – a “gathering together” type of energy associated with the high vision of the Eagle, coinciding with the World Health Organization’s World Sight Day, and the opening day for New York’s Comic Con, billed as North America’s most attended fan convention, which runs to Oct. 12th.

This is marking eight cycles exactly since that day in January of 2020 when the head of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Programme said that the “whole world needs to be on alert” with regard to Covid-19. At that point entire cities in China were under shutdown but it was being downplayed in the U.S. by Trump 1.0.

13 Kib’ (Oct. 10th) – a transformation-oriented energy aligned with the ability to “fly high”, survey, and ultimately restore order, although this intense force can also bring forth great change, coinciding with World Mental Health Day and the final day of World Space week. This is the day when the winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize will be announced. This is also Party Foundation Day in North Korea, the celebration of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea in 1945, an annual public holiday that includes mass events and military parades.

Note that Kib’ is an energy that can often prompt people to think differently, with 13 Kib’ often pushing particularly hard, often compelling people to take some kind of direct action. That was certainly the case eight cycles ago, at the end of January 2020, when the WHO declared a global health emergency with regard to the coronavirus outbreak, as the virus had spread across China, from the epicentre in Wuhan to at least 16 countries globally, including Thailand, France, the US and Australia. It was the beginning of a global catastrophe that has taken the lives of over 7 million people.

The last time this energy was in place the dumpster declared a global trade war, and his Department of “Justice” ordered its civil rights division to halt new cases, further signalling his administration’s hostility against racial and gender equality.
