Maya Count Of Days Horoscope

Maya Calendar Energies At Work In The World

A time of both completion and renewal, the critical energy frame that we are now entering brings us through the transitional days at the end of the Classical Maya year and into the early days of the Maya New Year. This is a particularly interesting point in time because currently this is happening in conjunction with the Kab’an trecena which has historically been aligned with “evolutionary movement” and radical shifts in world order. Indeed, the world is still coping with the shock of what happened during the last appearance of this trecena, at which time Trump became the Republican nominee for president. Since then it has been one full cycle of terror for millions of people.

World-shifting events that have manifested under this energy influence in the past have included the departure of Christopher Columbus from Palos, Spain in 1492 en route to the “discovery” of the “New World”; the beginning and ending of World War II; beginnings and endings of important space exploration events; the “powering up” and the shutting down (due to issues) of the atom-smashing Large Hadron Collider (in 2008); and the failure of major investment companies in the U.S. which precipitated chaos in world financial markets (also in 2008).

And let us not forget that this is the trecena that was in place on Dec. 21, 2012 when legions of people were convinced that the world was going to end, due to media hype that provoked the notion that this would happen because the Maya Calendar was ending (rather than renewing) – a classic example of  “fake news”.

When this trecena came into place last summer the first day of this 13-day period (One Kab’an) marked the 1300 day point (5th cycle completion) since the end of the 13th B’aktun on Dec. 21st, 2012. This seemed significant due to the fact that the number 13 is the energy of transition in the Maya Calendar, and sure enough, this particular lineup of 13s delivered a very strong kick! By the end of the trecena (1313 days after the end of the 13th Bak’tun) people were feeling stunned and horrified by the enormous political upset that occurred in the U.S. just before the completion of this time frame.

And now, intriguingly, we come once again to a key 52-day “shift- point” within the 260 day cycle. This key point coincides with the start of the Wayeb’, the 5-day lead-up to the Maya New Year. This “initiation of evolutionary movement” (One Kab’an) that correlates with March 27th and begins the Wayeb’ marks the beginning of the 13-day period that completes the old year and brings in the first 8 days of the Maya New Year. It has been 52 years since this kind of energy juxtaposition last happened, and it won’t happen again for another 52 years.

Under the Classical system those 5 days at the end of the old year were often seen as days requiring particular vigilance – a kind of “anything can happen” time. Others saw those days as days of rest and transition. But we have another factor in play at this time as well, which is Venus completing the last part of her transition through the “underworld” (ie. out-of-view as it conjuncts the sun) before emerging as the Morning Star. Ancient daykeepers saw this as a particularly “dangerous” phase of Venus, so, indeed, it would seem that – all things considered – this is a very special time indeed, and also a good time for extra caution.

One thing to keep in mind, however – particularly at this critical time – is that things evolve in cycles within this timekeeping system. And it could be, all things considered, that the cycle of events that started under the influence of this trecena last time could now be petering out. The “house of cards” in Washington appears to be unravelling quickly so it will be interesting to see what the nature of the current shift will be, especially given so many critical layers of influence.

To underscore the nature of these energies we also have some key Calendar Round anniversaries happening at this time (bringing a return of the month factors as well as the daysign factors), including the third Calendar Round return of the energy that was in place in 1861 when Jefferson Davis approved a bill that confirmed that a state of civil war existed between the Confederacy and the rest of the U.S., and the third Calendar Round return of the energy that was in place at the time of the discovery of the Great Comet of 1861.

As we begin this trecena, the same trecena that brought forth the first manned orbit of Earth in 1961 and the Apollo 11 moon landing and first moonwalk in 1969, an Orbital ATK Cygnus cargo module sits atop an Atlas V rocket, awaiting the launch date (recently postponed) for the seventh commercial resupply mission to the ISS. Christened the S.S. John Glenn, this spacecraft is carrying 7600 pounds of supplies and research equipment for the ISS crew. If this launch takes place during this trecena it could take place very close to the time when pioneering astronaut Col. John Glenn will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetary.

So, as we have seen, through its emphasis on “evolutionary” movement this Kab’an trecena frequently provides opportunites for prodigious change, often on a global scale. Not only is it generally associated with the opening and closing of major eras, but it is also aligned with re-birth and emergence, which can sometimes manifest as world-shaping beginnings and endings. Both forgiveness and fertility are often involved, representative of the patron dieties of this time frame, which tie in with the overall idea of dynamic motion.

During the last 260 day cycle the world at large saw and felt the impact of the last great shift that happened during this Kab’an-initated energy frame. The impact of that shift has deeply affected the personal lives of millions of people. And now we come to that shift point again, this time overlapping with the end of one Maya year and the beginning of a new one. No doubt we will see even more significant movement as these energies play out.

And, of course, within this context, the all-important Four Ajaw comes in on March 30th at which time we reach the completion of the sixth Tzolk’in cycle since Dec. 21, 2012, and the beginning of the seventh. With this in mind this would be a good time to review one’s personal journey in order to set the course and intent for the next 260 days. What will be your next “evolutionary leap” and how will you facilitate it? During this important time frame these are the energies that will come into play:

1 Kab’an 0 Way’eb (Mar. 27th) – the “initiation of evolutionary movement”, the start of the trecena that begins the seventh Tzolk’in cycle of the new era. This is a key 52-day “shift- point” within the 260 day cycle, that correlates at this time with the Wayeb’ (the 5-day lead-up to the Maya New Year), and the first few days of the Maya New Year. During this period Venus completes her transition through the “underworld” and then emerges as the Morning Star.

2 Etz’nab’ (Mar. 28th) – a dynamic “knife-edged” type of energy that can dazzle and/or divide and separate. Maya birth energy of billionaire philanthropist David Rockefeller who died on Mar. 20 (7 Ok) at age 101. The last remaining grandchild of John D. Rockefeller, the first U.S. billionaire, David Rockefeller gave away more than $900 million.

3 Kawak (Mar. 29th ) – “activating storm” that can manifest as a true weather storm or a “storm” of compassion or emotion, correlating at this time with the New Moon, on the day when the UK files papers that will start the process of officially breaking away from the EU. This marks the third Calendar Round (New Fire) return of the energy that was in place on May 6, 1861 when Jefferson Davis approved a bill from the Confederate Congress that confirmed that a state of war existed between the Confederacy and the Union. Exactly one Calendar Round ago (in 1965) this stormy energy brought forth the Palm Sunday tornado outbreak when 47 tornadoes (many at F4 strength) crashed through six Midwest states – the second largest tornado outbreak on record at the time and one of the deadliest ever documented.

4 Ajaw (March 30th) – a “defining” energy associated with the full light of the sun, symbolic of renewal and enlightenment, the same “defining” Burner Day energy that coincided with Long Count 13.0.0.0.0, the end of the 13th B’aktun on Dec. 21st, 2012, the day in which a whole new Great Cycle of Time was “seated”.

It was also a 4 Ajaw day that brought forth the signing of the unconditional documents of surrender by German forces in 1945. At this time this day completes the sixth cycle since the end of the 13th B’aktun, just as Venus emerges as the Morning Star.

5 Imix (March 31st) – the “blessing of birth”, representative of both “the realm of all potential” and chaos; symbolic of the primordial realm, which contains “all possibilities”; a return to the energy that was in place on VE day in 1945, when the world jubilantly celebrated the end of World War II in Europe and the beginning of peace. On its last appearance last summer this was British PM Theresa May’s first full day in office.

6 Ik’ 0 Pop (April 1st) – an “everywhere” type of energy associated with wind, breath, and spirit, this time in conjunction with the Classical Maya New Year, with Mercury at Maximum Elongation East. World War II officially ended under this “6 Wind” influence in 1945, after the unconditional surrender on 4 Ajaw. In 2004 this was the energy in place when Venus made its transition across the face of the sun – an event watched by millions. At this time this energy correlates with International Pillow Fight Day when billions of feathers will be “flying in the wind”.

7 Ak’b’al (April 2nd) – a “self-generating” type of energy, often referred to as a “temple” or “house”, but also darkness or “sanctuary”. In 1492 this was the energy in place when Christopher Columbus embarked on his first voyage into the unknown.

8 K’an (April 3rd) – a “resurrection” type of energy associated with germination and even opulence; an “harmonious gift” type of influence.

9 Chikchan (April 4th) – representative of “outwardly-projecting” lifeforce, a powerful force that can spawn major weather events such as typhoons, and even push forth “evolutionary” events that can significantly impact the world, as happened when the First Women’s Rights Convention convened in New York in 1848. Also in place at the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863, at the beginning of World War II when Germany invaded Poland in 1939, and again on the day in 1944 when Paris was liberated by the Allies. On its last appearance this energy coincided with the beginning of the Republican National Convention in the U.S.

10 Kimi (April 5th) – a double “absolute foundations” type of energy that is represented by the death god in both the number and daysign positions; one Tzolk’in cycle since the nomination of Trump as the Republican nominee for president. It is also the third Calendar Round (New Fire) anniversary of the energy that was in place when the Great Comet of 1861 was discovered just as the U.S. Civil War was picking up steam.

11 Manik’ (April 6th) – “inspirational deer”, a change-oriented day aligned with the idea of reciprocity and new possibilities, although there can be a sacrificial aspect to it. This is an energy that can be somewhat “fiery” since Manik’ is a “carrier” of the sun on Earth, with the number 11 also being highly Earth-aligned. Situated in a position of intensity near the end of this “earth- movement” trecena, this energy is representative of solar power in tandem with strong Earth-aligned forces. Last summer this energy coincided with the 47th anniversary of the first moon landing, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the moon. At this time this energy coincides with the day when John Glenn will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary, on what would have been his 74th wedding anniversary. It is also the day of the first meeting between Chinese President Xi and Trump.

12 Lamat (April 7th) – a double Venus type of force; in combination with the “grouping together” influence of the number 12, this is a strong “heralding or signalling” type of energy, currently at the time of Jupiter making its closest approach to Earth, which makes it appear bigger and brighter than usual.  Last summer this coincided with Trump’s acceptance speech as the Republican nominee and the closing of the Republican National Convention. At this time this energy coincides with second and final day of the meeting between Chinese President Xi and Trump.

13 Muluk (April 8th) – “transformational water” – an energetic, often dramatic, type of energy that can trigger strong feelings and stir environmental forces which have, on occasion in the past, developed into floods, tornadoes, and even hurricanes. In 2013 this energy brought massive flooding to Mexico as two monstrous tropical storms came in from two directions, at the same time as the powerful Typhoon Man-yi hit central Japan; in 2015 twenty-five states in the U.S. were under severe weather warnings under this influence.
