When it comes to events that tend to shape or foment significant changes in direction in world history, it seems that some trecenas are particularly consequential. Over the past decade, this Ix (Jaguar) trecena has been one of them. Ix is an energy aligned with the Maya mythological idea of the “Night Sun” and “terrestrial fire”, which often brings with it a considerable amount of “fire and fury” as the Jaguar “roars” and the earth rumbles. The time, it appears, the Jaguar will not be roaring alone, but will be joining forces with the roars of hundreds of thousands of people both in the US and worldwide who have had enough of authoritarianism, and are pushing, on a daily basis, for change.

As this trecena begins it is marking the return of the exact Calendar Round energies that were in place in 1973 when The Washington Post published the blockbuster story about President Richard Nixon having prior knowledge of the Watergate conspiracy, revealing that he was deeply involved in the coverup, including having knowledge of payments used to buy the silence of the Watergate conspirators. The following year, during this same trecena, there was an attempted assassination of President Nixon, and a federal grand jury indicted seven of Nixon’s aides on charges of conspiracy related to Watergate. That was when Nixon was named as an unindicted co-conspirator, which led to his impeachment process and to his eventual resignation. As much as this Watergate scandal shocked and traumatized a nation, it now seems relatively minor when compared with the Trumpian scandals, with many of those also pivoting around key energies within this time frame.

Indeed, this generally tends to be a volatile period, with the Jaguar metaphor and its association with power, mystery, stealth, adaptability, high magic, and even mastery over things of an unseen nature, reminding us that this is a time frame associated with fearsome authority, unpredictability, and sudden transformation. It is not unusual to see a lot of “political maneuvering” going on during this period, reflective of the Jaguar’s significance as a major symbol of dominance in Maya mythology.

Sudden change in political power often manifests during this period, and issues associated with political leadership often become particularly prominent. From the perspective of ancient mythology, it was thought that the fate of the world ties in with the whims of the Jaguar.

As seen in the past, the very first day of this trecena has often been a pivotal turning point in terms of the fate of nations, as seen during the French Revolution in the 18th century when some of the most significant events of that era took place under that “initiation of transformation” influence of One Ix. With regard to the US – in addition to 1973 events related to Nixon, this trecena has played a major role in the whole Trumpian saga going all the way back to 2016, as this was the trecena in place during the four-day lead-up to the 2016 election, the election itself, and the many days of massive anti-Trump protest demonstrations that followed.

Four cycles ago, in July of 2022, the Jan. 6th investigative committee relating to the attack on the US Capitol was highlighting what was referred to as the dumpster’s “Nero burning Rome” moment, emphasizing various ways in which he “poured gasoline on the fire” as he ignored pleas to stop the rioting, and chose to do nothing. In this regard, evidence was brought to the committee that underscored both his dereliction of duty and “criminal intent” (through refusal to act). Vice Chair Liz Cheney commented at the time that “the dam has begun to break” as a long list of crimes (including seditious conspiracy, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, and insurrection) were identified. It took one more cycle before formal actions were taken, but in the spring of 2023, two days before this trecena began, a Manhattan Grand Jury voted to indict Trump, for his role in the hush money payment scheme, the first time in American history that a current or former president had faced criminal charges. Then five days later, on the third day of this time frame, he was formally arraigned in New York, charged with 34 felony counts of “falsifying business records in the first degree”, and concealing crimes in violation of election laws. After that, tragically and shamefully, the justice system moved at a snail’s pace, getting bogged down with delays, appeals, and even supreme court scandals and its ridiculous “presidential immunity” ruling, and eventually prosecutions got dropped after the 2024 election.

The fifth day of this period (5 Etz’nab’) has often been particularly consequential, as this is a “knife edge” type of force that holds the potential to bring things to a definitive conclusion, or to foment earth-shaking transformations. Many significant events “fateful” to nations have occurred under this 5 Etz’nab’ influence, including the official surrender of Japan at the end of World War II in 1945, the massive “Mobilization Peace” demonstrations in Washington, D.C in 1969 where hundreds of thousands protested against the Vietnam War, and the “complete meltdown” that unfolded at the start of a “summer of anarchy” in 2020, as people called for justice after the death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer. The announcement of the formation of the Jan. 6th commission to investigate the attack on the Capitol came one cycle later, in 2021.

The trecena as a whole has brought forth the start of the Russian Revolution in 1917, the start of the London Blitz in 1940, the massive Tibetan uprising against Chinese aggression in Llasa that began under this influence in 1959, the start of coalition air strikes against terrorist groups in Syria in 2018, major climate change rallies and conferences, and Pope Francis’s visit to Canada in the summer of 2022 in association with reconciliation for Indigenous nations. Events associated with both of the dumpster’s impeachment trials have unfolded during this same time frame, as well as the “circus” relating to his arraignments in New York in 2023, and the pre-trial hearing in 2024 relating to the Jan. 6th case.

Keep in mind that during this period the “unseen” often plays an important role, and like the jaguar that can “sneak up” and dispatch its prey with one deadly pounce, unforeseen events can sometimes sneak up and change trajectories in highly significant ways.

As we forge ahead through this period we will be working under the auspices of Quetzalcóatl, the life-force (and justice-oriented) “twin” to the Jaguar, who serves as the patron energy for these thirteen days. As seen in the past, this is an energy combination that can bring forth high drama and head-spinning change, often related to issues associated with JUSTICE, at very high levels.

Of particular concern at the present time, however, is the very problematic issue of the justice system in the US (and elsewhere) being badly broken. Nevertheless, hundreds of federal courts and judges are “holding the line” and ruling against the Trump administration’s actions, so there is still reason to hope that the tide will turn. Certainly the widescale protests against that administration’s policies and actions will continue and likely intensify.

Globally, with the increased condemnation of Israel over its “war of annihilation” on Gaza, it is likely that some kind of shift in that regard could be forthcoming during this period. However, the Russia-Ukraine war still grinds on, with no indication that Putin is ready to engage in any meaningful dialogue.

So the battle for justice continues, and the need for people to be “jaguar warriors” is stronger than ever. But as we go through this period keep in mind that the Jaguar (the metaphor for the forces in play at this time) was seen as a master of navigation, a creature of great strength and agility that had dominion over the “tangle” of the underworld. Indeed, in many places it is the group force of the people themselves that will bring about needed change as the battle to uphold and honour basic human rights, civil liberties, and egalitarian values continues. During this period it is advisable to keep an eye open for stealthy maneuvering, particularly with regard to the orange felon and his cohorts, so that pushback can be immediate. Also, in keeping with the metaphor of the Jaguar – keep in mind that as much as the Jaguar is both powerful and deadly, this creature also represents great beauty, strength, resourcefulness, majesty, and magic. It is always helpful to draw on those qualities during this intense period. Here are the energies that will be in play:

One Ix (May 21st) – the “initiation” of the Jaguar’s power of transformation, at the start of the second trecena within this new cycle, coinciding with UNESCO’s World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, a day designated by the United Nations as an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity and to learn to live together in harmony – something needed more than ever.

It has now been one Calendar Round exactly (52 years less 13 days) since The Washington Post published the blockbuster story (in 1973) about President Richard Nixon having prior knowledge of the Watergate conspiracy, revealing that he was deeply involved in the coverup, including having knowledge of payments used to buy the silence of the Watergate conspirators. It was a story about a scandal that shocked and traumatized a nation, eventually leading to Nixon’s resignation. Who could possibly have imagined that the White House scandals that have been delivering shock after shock to that nation and the world would be in such full view 52 years later?

But this is the trecena that tends to shed considerable light on political power stuggles. Indeed, many key events related to the saga of the Orange Grifter have unfolded under this highly transformational influence, which really began to be felt in earnest 12 cycles ago when this energy was in place just prior to the disastrous 2016 election. Then, precisely seven cycles after that, in 2021, it was in place at the time of Trump’s second impeachment trial, on the day when the DA in Fulton County, Georgia opened a criminal inquiry into his attempts to try to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Four cycles ago (in 2022) the Jan. 6th committee was in full gear and more and more testimonies were revealing the various crimes associated with the insurrection attempt. Three cycles ago the New York justice system was closing in, in two directions, with the dumpster having just been indicted for hush money payments, when he was about to be charged with 34 felony counts for falsifying business records. After many more machinations over the following cycle, the judge in his civil fraud trial issued a blistering ruling that denied the grifter’s fifth attempt to end his civil fraud trial. That was two cycles ago. And then the last time this was in place (last September) this trecena opened just two days before the pre-trial hearing in the federal election interference case.

Currently, as this trecena is coming in, Republicans in the US House of Representatives are carrying out a vote (starting with a Rules Committee hearing at 1 am) on the dumpster’s highly controversial 1,116-page tax bill that includes enormous cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare, which would negatively affect millions of lower-income Americans. As usual, strongarm tactics are being used to encourage support for it. Whatever happens in this regard will be highly consequential for millions of people. It’s only the latest example of the kind of machinations that make Nixon’s crimes and offenses pale in comparison to what is going on with the present administration

It has now been twelve cycles exactly since Nov. 4th, 2016 when the Paris Climate Change Agreement officially became international law – and yet, in too many places, officials have still not taken much ameliorative action, or remain, unthinkably, “in denial”.

2 Men (May 22nd) the “generation” of the Eagle’s “higher vision”, often providing insight into what is to follow. Currently this is the UN’s International Day for Biological Diversity, with this year’s theme being “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development”.

Two cycles ago this 2 Men energy was in place when President Biden’s administration announced a new proposal aimed at banning logging in old-growth forests, a move meant to protect millions of trees that play a key role in fighting the climate crisis. This ban was due to come into effect in early 2025, as the Forest Service was finalizing rules that would protect old-growth forests from logging. However, since the return of the orange grifter to the White House there are great concerns about the safety of national parks.

It has now been six cycles exactly since 2021 when more than 550 congressional staffers called on the Senate to convict the dumpster, in a statement that emphasized that they had all seen firsthand “the violence that was incited on [their] workplace.” This same energy was in place in 2022 when court filings revealed efforts that had been made by his cronies to keep secret more than 700 pages of handwritten notes, draft documents and daily logs related to the loss of the 2020 election, and to the events of January 6, 2021. (Sound similar to the Nixon scandal?)

Amazingly, this was the energy in place last September when the Orange Felon actually admitted, during a podcast interview, that he LOST the 2020 election. On that same day the DoJ revealed that there was considerable evidence of a massive Russian cyber effort to influence that 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Currently this will be the day when a hearing will be held to consider a longer-lasting injunction against the administration’s large-scale staffing cuts and the restructuring of U.S. federal agencies.

3 Kib’ (May 23rd) – an activation energy often associated with the “restoration of order”, coinciding with the start of the George Floyd Global Memorial Foundation’s three-day festival commemorating George Floyd and others who have lost their lives unjustly due to racism. The festival theme this year is “Rise & Remember”. This is the 5th annual “Angelversary” for this cause, which will focus on education, empowerment, and healing associated with the pursuit of racial justice and equality. Events will include a conference, a candlelight vigil, a gala, and a festival.

It has now been three cycles since Trump was formally arraigned in New York, charged with 34 felony counts of “falsifying business records in the first degree”, and concealing crimes in violation of election laws.

The last time this was in place (last September) a pre-trial hearing was held in the election interference case, to assess the differentiation between official and private acts with regard to the charges, after the supreme court’s ruling that “official acts” are immune to prosecution. Prosecutor Jack Smith had refiled the charges to focus more specifically on “personal, unofficial acts” related to election subversion attempts. The charges against the dumpster were narrowed since that ruling, and now include: conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of, and attempt to obstruct, an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights.

At this point it has been eight cycles exactly since the fall of 2019 when the House Judiciary Committee in the US held its first formal hearing on whether to recommend a formal impeachment inquiry with regard to the dumpster’s abuse of power and obstruction of Congress with regard to the Ukraine scandal, and six cycles since his highly controversial acquittal by Republicans (on a technicality) during the unprecedented second impeachment trial in Feb. of 2021 – even though Senator McConnell said that he believed that the dumpster was practically and morally responsible for inciting the horrific attack on the US Capitol, calling his actions “a disgraceful dereliction of duty”.

4 Kab’an (May 24th) – a “defining” energy associated with evolutionary movement – the powerful energy carved into the centre of the Aztec Sun Stone, an energy that often brings forth highly dramatic events. This is the opening of the three-day World Heart Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, as world leaders in cardiovascular health meet with the goal of strengthening the global response to cardiovascular disease to help people live longer, healthier lives.

In 1940 this was the energy in place on the night of “Black Saturday” (and into the early morning of the following day) when 348 German bombers dropped 337 tons of bombs on London, in the first mass air raid night of the “The Blitz”, when 430 civilians were killed and hundreds badly injured. This was followed by 57 consecutive nights of further bombing and several more months
of attacks (overall a blistering eight  month long German bombing campaign). After that ghastly war
who would have believed that this could happen again . . . but the Russia-Ukraine war rages on, and
the situation in Gaza remains well beyond catastrophic.

Currently this is the legendary Bob Dylan’s 84th Gregorian birthday (one day after his Maya birth energy), and the 95th Gregorian birthday of renowned naturalist/artist Robert Bateman who has devoted his life to raising awareness about the beauty and majesty of the natural world and the wonders of its inhabitants.

5 Etz’nab’ (May 25th) – a “pin pointing”, knife-edged type of force symbolized by “flint”. This dazzling, often highly attention-getting, energy has a tendency to bring forth highly consequential events that can bring things to a definitive conclusion, as it did in 1945 with the official surrender of Japan at the end of World War II.

Definitive change often takes place under this influence, as seen in the events that unfolded twelve cycles ago, in 2016, when this “shock and awe” force fomented the “death of America” as journalist/historian Neal Gabler put it, at the time of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, often referred to as “the groan heard ‘round the world”, as people reacted with horror and disbelief and global stock markets went into a tailspin. As Gabler wrote in his article titled Farewell, America, published two days after that election, “America died [on that day] not with a bang or whimper, but at its own hand via electoral suicide. We the people chose a man who has shredded our values, our morals, our compassion, our tolerance, our decency, our sense of common purpose, our very identity – all things that, however tenuously, made a nation out of a country”. And that was THEN, well before the Covid fiasco, well before the Jan. 6th, 2021 coup attempt or the attempted theft and concealment of hundreds of federal classified documents, well before all the indictments and his conviction on 34 counts of felony in 2024, and well before he (GASP) was “reelected”, under a cloud of suspicion about possible Russian interference in the election.

Precisely four cycles after that 2016 election, in September of 2019, Guardian columnist Robert Reich published an article titled Trump is seriously, frighteningly, dangerously nuts – and the world is in danger – an observation that has been increasingly in evidence over subsequent cycles. Then, just two months before the November 2024 election the chiefs of both MI6 and the CIA (the UK and US foreign intelligence services) warned that the international world order is “under threat in a way we haven’t seen since the Cold War”. And yet, beyond all expectations and predictions . . . the lunatic was “reelected”.

Currently this is the 64th anniversary of the day when President John F. Kennedy presented, before a special joint session of Congress, his call to achieve a moon landing. It is also International Missing Children’s Day, to acknowledge the many children who go missing each year; International Tap Dance Day, which celebrates the art of tap dancing; and Kyiv Day, marking that city’s founding 1,543 years ago.

It has now been five Gregorian years since the horrific death of George Floyd in Minneapolis that triggered massive Black Lives Matter demonstrations in Minneapolis and elsewhere, as well as the push for police reforms and much greater accountability in law enforcement.

6 Kawak (May 26th) – a “storm everywhere” type of force, coinciding at this time with the New Moon and Memorial Day in the US, a day to commemorate and honour deceased service men and women. In the UK this is Celebration Day 2025, a day to “honour and celebrate those who have shaped our lives but are no longer with us”.

Note that this energy often has more to do with the triggering of a “storm of compassion or emotion” than a weather related event, as has been seen often during the past few cycles. In early June of 2020 this was the energy in place on that “flashpoint” day of outrage when military police used teargas, rubber bullets, and flash grenades to clear a path through peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters so that the dumpster could stage a particularly revulsive photo op in front of St. John’s Lafayette church in Washington DC. That was seen as a major “breaking point” in terms of democracy in the U.S., basically foreshadowing the Jan. 6th insurrection and everything that has followed. That was seven cycles ago.

One cycle after that, in February of 2021, Rep. Bennie Thompson, the chair of the House Homeland Security Committee who became the chair of the Jan. 6th committee, became the first member of Congress to file a lawsuit against Trump for inciting the deadly insurrection.

Four cycles ago (in 2022) the Jan. 6th committee held its 8th public hearing, which focused specifically on that 187 minutes on Jan. 6th when the dumpster did nothing to stop the mob that was storming the U.S. Capitol, highlighting his culpability and direct involvement in formenting the events of that grotesque and horrifying day. Senator Jamie Raskin, a member of the Jan. 6th committee, referred to this as “a profound moment of reckoning”, as they highlighted the various crimes that revealed both dereliction of duty and “criminal intent”. The various crimes that were identified included attempted obstruction of an official proceeding (the certification of an election), conspiracy to defraud the U.S., seditious conspiracy, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, and insurrection. These are the crimes that he and his cohorts kept attempting to brush aside during prosecution efforts that were underway prior to the 2024 election.

This is the Maya birth energy of the legendary folk songwriter-singer and social activist Pete Seeger whose powerful “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” song so poignantly illustrates the futility of war.

7 Ajaw (May 27th) – “self generating” full sun, a force traditionally associated with “full sun” and the general idea of kingship (could also translate as “self-generating kingship”)

Seven Ajaw was traditionally a great Aztec feast day devoted to Xochipilli, the “Flower Prince”, the god of flowers, games, music, and dance. With the sun frequently symbolized as a four-petalled flower there is a strong solar aspect to this in conjunction with fertility and maize. Indeed, when this was in place four cycles ago, our planet was hit by a powerful coronal mass ejection. In Maya mythology this energy is associated with a special purification/soul retrieval type of ceremony associated with the resurrection of the Maize God (representing fertility).

This marks the start of National Reconciliation Week in Australia, which will emphasize the need for greater understanding and support for the shared histories, cultures, and achievements of the inhabitants of Australia, with this year’s theme being “Bridging Now to Next”. On this day King Charles III will deliver the Speech from the Throne during the State Opening of Parliament in Canada, the first time a British monarch has delivered this speech in Canada since 1957.

In Vancouver this is the opening day for the 4-day Web Summit Vancouver that will “bring together thousands of international entrepreneurs with the brighest minds in tech”.

It has now been five cycles exactly since the dumpster attempted to block the Jan. 6th committee from obtaining a treasure trove of notes from his top advisers related to his insistence that the election was stolen (an attempt that was denied later during this same trecena), in a hearing that was seen as a pivotal moment in an historic legal fight concerning the authority of a former president, the House’s investigative power, and the reach of executive privilege. This was also the energy in place in November 2021, when the Manhattan DA convened a new grand jury in the Trump Organization probe.

8 Imix (May 28th) – the “resurrection” of birth, the type of energy that can help to open up new possibilities, coinciding at this time with National Senior Health and Fitness Day, in support of helping seniors to stay fit and healthy . . . although we might also look to the Rolling Stones for advice in that regard. Who would have guessed they would be so resilient? (see also 12 Chikchan below)

This was the energy in place five cycles ago (in 2021) when House Democrats passed a $1tn bill to help rebuild the ageing infrastructure in the U.S., after months of delay, delivering Joe Biden a long-awaited legislative victory. It has now been four cycles since Earth was struck by a “full-halo CME” at the same time time as temperatures in China began spiking above 40C, with some cities given high alert warnings for possible dam failures. This is the day when New York’s “Full Sun on the grid” Manhattanhenge will take place.

9 Ik’ (May 29th) – the “outward projection” of wind, breath, spirit – significantly, the calendrical daysign of Ehécatl/Quetzalcóatl, the “feathered serpent” deity traditionally seen in Mesoamerican cultures as being symbolic of spirit, breath, culture, the arts, justice, and things of a life-giving nature. This marks four cycles exactly since Pope Francis began his 5 day visit to Canada, in 2022, “on a pilgrimage of healing and reconciliation.”

Nine Ik’ (aka Nine Wind) is a very important energy both mythologically and historically. Symbolic of far-reaching communication, 9 Ik’ is also representative of the winds that can “blow” in multiple directions to bring about change. Tornadoes have often manifested under this influence, as well as major protest rallies, which are sure to continue on this day in the US, as they have since the inauguration of Orange Grifter 2.0.

Currently this the International Day of UN Peacekeepers, with this year’s theme being “Peace Begins With Me”, to acknowledge the service and sacrifice of UN peacekeepers.

This is the opening day for the 10th Contact in the Desert conference that runs to June 2nd.

In 1961 this was the energy in place when U.S. astronaut Alan B. Shepard Jr. was carried into suborbital flight aboard Mercury Freedom 7, becoming the first U.S. astronaut to travel into space (in a 15 min. flight). When this energy was in place in 1996 Shannon Lucid became the first female astronaut to crew a space station.

Back in 1860, this was the energy in place when South Carolina became the first state to declare its secession from the United States, prior to the start of the civil war.

10 Ak’b’al (May 30th) – a combination of the foundational energy of “Source” (the number 10) in conjunction with “darkness”, as in a Temple associated with deep esoteric mysteries. This was in place four cycles ago (in 2022) when Pope Francis visited Maskwacis, site of the former Ermineskin Residential School, one of the largest residential schools in Canada, where he met with indigenous residential school survivors from across the country and issued an apology for the abuses that they suffered when attending those institutions.

This is the Maya birth energy of Sir Nicholas Winton, the British humanitarian who has been credited with rescuing 669 children just before the outbreak of World War II. The British film titled “One Life”, released in 2023, tells the story of his life.

Currently this day is marking one Calendar Round (52 years less 13 days) since the Endangered Species Act was introduced into the US Senate on 10 Ak’b’al 1 Sotz’ (June 12, 1973).

11 K’an (May 31st) – an “inspirational” type of energy associated with youthful vitality, coinciding with the WHO’s World No Tobacco Day, and National Smile Day. In 2020 this was in place when Joe Biden became the Democratic presidential nominee before going on to win the 2020 election.

It has now been eight cycles exactly since the start of the Global Week for Future climate action strike in 2019 when an estimated four million students, encompassing more than 150 countries, participated in a worldwide walkout, at the start of a week of climate change actions. One cycle before that, earlier that year, Nancy Pelosi was sworn in as Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and more than 100 women were sworn in when Democrats took over control of the House.

It had now been precisely two cycles (520 days) since 150,000 people were forced to flee from central Gaza as Israel continued their attacks. Tragically, they were displaced several more times after that, and now destruction and famine are everywhere.

This day is marking legendary actor/director Clint Eastwood’s 95th Gregorian birthday. He has been a significant philanthropist over many years. Happy Birthday Clint!

12 Chikchan (June 1st) – “dedicated” lifeforce – a powerful force that represents a doubling of the intensity of the lifeforce-oriented Quetzalcóatl energy – a type of influence that can significantly draw people into action for a common cause, particularly around issues relating to justice.

This marks six cycles since the Supreme Court rejected the dumpster’s bid to shield his financial records and tax returns, so that the New York state District Attorney and the NY Grand Jury could have access to them for their investigations into possible financial and corporate misconduct. One cycle after that, as the orange felon attempted to block the court from seeing more than 700 pages of White House records in November of 2021, Judge Tanya Chutkan of the US District Court in DC, not only overrode the attempt, but provided the reminder that “Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President.” That was the day when the Office of Special Counsel released a report that described how at least 13 high-level Trump administration officials improperly used their official powers to try to influence the 2020 election by engaging in illegal campaign activities. Precisely two cycles after that the orange felon has to sit for a 7 hr. deposition in New York AG Letitia James’ office, related to her multi million dollar case against him for business fraud, in a case that she ultimately won.

All this fits with the blog post that Mary Trump posted one cycle ago, titled Cheating as Way of Life, What Donald Keeps Getting Away With, in which she talked about what she believed to be at stake in the 2024 presidential election and the lies allegedly told by her uncle. In the post she described her uncle as a “deeply unwell traitor.”

In 1974 this was the energy in place when a federal grand jury indicted seven of President Nixon’s aides on charges of conspiracy related to Watergate, when Nixon was named as an unindicted co-conspirator, which led to his impeachment process.

Back in 1776 this was the energy in place when the first of Thomas Paine’s American Crisis pamphlets was released, with the opening lines being:

These are the times that try men’s souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country but he that stands it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.

Another line from it reads: Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

Currently this is Child Protection Day in Ukraine, and Children’s Day in China. It is also the beginning of National Indigenous History Month in Canada, the start of LGBT Pride Month, the start of National Gun Violence Awareness (Wear Orange) month in the US, Canadian Armed Forces Day, and the official start of the Central North Pacific hurricane season and the Atlantic hurricane season, which is forecast to be dynamic and turbulent, with AccuWeather predicting 13 to 18 storms and warning of hurricanes that can rapidly strengthen leading up to landfall.

This is also English rock musician Ronnie Wood’s 78th Gregorian birthday, one day before what would have been the 84th birthday of drummer Charlie Watts, his Rolling Stones’ band-mate prior to Charlie’s passing in 2021.

13 Kimi (June 2nd) – “transformational death” (or “transformational foundations”) – a powerful, and sometimes even “explosive”, “return to Source” type of force that can often pack a huge punch, as seen in the intense weather systems and even volcanoes that have occurred in the past under this influence. Way back in 1521 this was the energy in place at the start of the Battle of Tenochtitlán, the extended battle between the Aztec and Hernán Cortés, with his coalition of Spaniards and thousands of Indigenous allies, that was central to the Spanish conquest of the Aztec empire. One week ago (6 Kawak) marked the 504th Gregorian anniversary of the start of that battle.

It has now been three cycles since civil war broke out in Sudan, and one cycle since the alleged assassination attempt at Mar-a-Lago last year, both under this same 13 Kimi influence.

Note that when this energy was in place in January of 2019, nine cycles ago, the New York Times ran a scathing article by Pulitzer prize winning columnist David Leonhardt that was titled The People vs. D. J. Trump, subtitled, He is demonstrably unfit for office. What are we waiting for?, which highlighted the pressing need to remove the dumpster from office (during his first term). Whole categories of issues were identified as reasons for why he should be removed. The writer thought that waiting it out until 2020 would be way too dangerous.

But, unfathomably, not only was he allowed to remain, but he was “enabled” to spread the monstrous BIG LIE about “winning” the 2020 election, and then, also unfathomably, “won” the 2024 presidential election, despite being convicted of those 34 felony counts and being embroiled in multiple lawsuits and court cases on a whole raft of charges relating to fraud, election interference, obstruction of justice, unlawfully removing and retaining top secret federal documents, and many other things. But with such intense pushback now taking place on the streets, in the courts, in Congress, and from many courageous and articulate individuals, the battle is ON to bring an end to this horrific nightmare, so that justice can finally prevail. It is very possible that this particular energy, at the end of this highly transformative period, could be quite consequential.
