Maya Count Of Days Horoscope

Maya Calendar Energies At Work In The World

Can you feel it? Can you feel the forces that are poised to make their presence known? Do you have the sense that everything is about to burst open? Indeed the season is changing and this trecena – oriented around personal authority – will be bringing self-determined change on multiple levels. In some places this will be heralded in vibrant, colourful ways. In other places it will be accompanied by contemplation and reverence. By the end of the trecena it will culminate in a tidal wave of protest against authoritarianism and perversion as millions take a united stand in support of freedom and democracy.

A great deal has changed since 2024 when this trecena was in place just prior to the US presidential election, when US citizens were being called upon to do their research and muster the strength and integrity to make informed, responsible decisions that had the potential, literally, to shape the destiny of the world. Early voting was underway and the pressure was on for citizens to come to terms with a key question: “What kind of world do you want to live in?” It was a call to “step up” to the plate at a key turning point within the 260-day cycle of days. That was two cycles ago, and devastatingly for the US and the world at large, the dumpster and his cohorts managed to monopoloze political messaging and overshadow the voices of reason. That election opened the portals to the hellscape that so many have had to live through over the past two cycles – a hellscape that has fomented attacks on other countries as well as on US citizens themselves. Now, as this trecena returns, opportunities to turn the tide are again being presented. The question is: will enough people stand up for their beliefs and join the pushback call?

As always, this trecena begins with One B’en, representative of the “initiation” of “self determination”, which kicks off the second 52-day period within the 260 day Tzolk’in. This is a force that often presents itself in bold ways, as will most certainly be seen during this current period. Robust growing corn or strong growing reeds, representative of that sense of “vigorous energy pushing through”, are highly symbolic of both the B’en daysign and this period as a whole. With the spring season coming in and multiple festivals of renewal taking place during this period, that sense of “unstoppable self-determination everywhere” will be seen and felt on multiple levels.

Traditionally the patrons of this B’en trecena were seen as being highly oriented around the idea of cleansing and “purification”, which often involves a shifting of energies to clear out stagnation. Indeed the principal patron of this time period was seen as Chalchiuhtlicue, the Goddess of Running Water, associated with the cleansing waters of the earth. She is sometimes accompanied by Tlazoltéotl, the “Great Mother” goddess who not only represents fertility, but also forgiveness and healing. A sense of “renewed vitality” can often be felt during this time frame.

Adaptation of the B’en (Reed) trecena from the pre-Columbian Codex Borgia by artist Richard Balthazar (used with permission). The first day (One B’en aka One Reed) is represented by the little reed bundle at the bottom right corner (within the border). Each of the remaining days proceed around the edge from there towards the left, ending with 13 Chikchan at the upper left corner. In the centre on the right is Chalchiuhtlicue, the Goddess of Running Water, sitting on a throne or decorative chair, with her purifying waters flowing out from underneath. Click here for an overview of Richard’s various other versions of the same trecena.

Two cycles ago the revolting spectacle of the world’s wealthiest person dancing to the tune of his own self importance and using that to drum up support for the dumpster created enough novelty to bamboozle many folks into falling for the bells and whistles that were being used to divert people from rationality. But deeper into the past the emphasis on “self determination” has shone through quite vividly during this period, with individuals stepping forth to offer true leadership, particularly in conjunction with the idea of “standing up” for justice, human rights, and equality.

Indeed, it was the first day of this trecena in early January of 1960 when John F. Kennedy announced his candidacy and initiated his campaign for the US presidency. Similarly, it was the first day of this period in 2011 when President Obama announced that he would be running for a second term as U.S. president. In 2020 the Economist predicted a possible landslide victory for Joe Biden in the 2020 election, due to the dumpster’s “flailing”. Abraham Lincoln was not only born during this trecena, but the final phase of his funeral events, followed by his interment, also took place during this time period.

Keep in mind that historically many huge shifts in the balance of power have taken place during this time frame – the kinds of shifts that have determined the fates of nations, as when Hernán Cortés and his conquistadores began pushing into the interior of Mexico just over 500 years ago during this period, fomenting the devastating events that dramatically changed the whole of Mesoamerica. Several centuries later this same trecena saw the start of the Mexican revolution when the revolutionary Francisco Madero led strikes to denounce the dictator Porfirio Diaz. In 2007 this trecena was in place when Nancy Pelosi made history by becoming the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, the highest ranking female lawmaker in American politics. She went on to spearhead the passage of hundreds of legislative bills.

In early 2014 some 70,000 pro-Western Ukrainians rallied in Kyiv’s Independence Square during this period in a major push to oust President Viktor Yanukovych over his alliance with Russia. Six cycles ago (in December of 2021) the reins of power in Germany were handed over to Olaf Scholz who replaced Germany’s long-serving chancellor Angela Merkel. That was when Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy was warning that his country’s intelligence service had discovered that Russia, again, was planning some sort of coup or attack against Ukraine. For over four years now he has been a steady and stalwart symbol of strength and resistance for his own people and the world, standing strong amidst brutal assaults on his country. He has recently reported successful counterattacks against Russia that has helped his country to regain territory.

As this trecena comes into place this time the world is in desperate need of strong, thoughtful leadership. Israel is still creating havoc in the Middle East and the dumpster and his cronies have no idea what they’re doing. It’s more along the lines of “war by whim and by tweet”. One cycle ago he was attempting to strong-arm a hugely unpopular bill, a bill designed to bring enormous cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, food assistance programs, and other support systems, and enormous cuts to environmental protections, while appropriating large funding increases for immigration and customs enforcement, and providing huge tax cuts for the wealthy. And now he has dragged the US into war, “by choice”, without congressional support, without the support of the people. As one political commentator recently noted, the dumpster “has found more ways to kill people than any other president in history”, and is “the first to deny food to starving people” (by eliminating programs such as USAID). [Click here for an article on some of the statistics from 2020. Add several more years to these figures and the number is staggering.]

Overall this is a situation that cannot last, and, more and more, it’s the citizens who are “standing tall and strong” against the lawlessness, disorder, flailing incompetence, and gross corruption; against the brutality; against the lies and nauseating disinformation campaigns; and against all the voices of greed, depravity, and insanity that have been seeking to take away rights and freedoms that have been fought for, for so long, in the US and elsewhere. And now is their chance. Indeed, throughout this trecena millions of people in the US and elsewhere are organizing and mobilizing in preparations for No Kings 3, expected to be “the biggest protest in American history” according to Ezra Levin, the founder of Indivisible – a protest that will be the crescendo during the final day of this period.

One of the rally signs from Indivisible’s No Kings campaign.

Simultaneously, more and more Democrats are winning seats in special elections across the country, giving Democrats “undeniable momentum” as preparations are being made for the forthcoming Midterms. They have already flipped 28 seats since the 2024 election, as voters and citizens are waking up and saying that they’ve had enough of the Republican chaos.

Shift IS happening, and during this time period it will be seen and felt in the festivals of renewal that will take place in many ways, in many different forms, in many different countries – and it will certainly be seen and felt in the energies that will be channelled into enormous pushback efforts that are dedicated to sweeping away the darkness and rot, and laying the foundations for a brighter, much more balanced future. Here are the energies that will come into play:

1 B’en (March 16th) – the “initiation” of personal authority, an important 52-day Shift-point within the 260-day cycle, at the beginning of a time frame that is often associated with some significant form of social or political adjustment, or some important announcement.

Back in early 1960 the energy of One B’en was in place when John F. Kennedy announced his candidacy and initiated his campaign for the U.S. presidency. In 2010 the first official Nelson Mandela International Day was celebrated under this influence. And the following year President Obama announced that he would be running for his second term as president.

In stark contrast to those events, it was exactly three cycles ago (in 2024) when the dumpster, the instigator of a coup attempt against the US Constitution and against lawmakers and Congress itself, was ordered to pay former journalist E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in penalties for his revolting attempts to defame her. And now that same erratic, brutal insurrectionist and indicted criminal is carrying out a bombing campaign against Iran, with the help of his grossly unqualified sychophants, without congressional approval.

Also under this influence in 2024, the international court of justice (ICJ) in The Hague ordered Israel to ensure that Israeli troops would not commit genocidal acts in Gaza, based on South Africa’s request for emergency measures to be taken to bring about a ceasefire in Gaza and allow more humanitarian aid into that country. Unfortunately that order was essentially disregarded and the death toll in Gaza has now reached over 72,000, with over 170,000 reported casualties. Some 248 journalists and media workers, and over 224 humanitarian aid workers are among those killed during this conflict, and hundreds of people have been killed or wounded since the so-called ceasefire declaration last October.

Back in 1942 this One B’en force was in place at the time of the first self-sustained chain reaction which initiated the controlled release of nuclear energy. Under the current circumstances let’s pray that some measure of control remains in place to act as checks against any kind of “uncontrolled” release of nuclear energy. And may the “self determination” forces aligned with this energy help the millions of concerned citizens of Planet Earth who want to see the insanity of conflict come to an end.

Currently the people of Valencia are doing their bit to point out the lunacy of current events, on this second day of the five main days of their extravagant and wildly creative Fallas festival.

A Falla monument from 2012. These are the kinds of monumental sculptures that are torched at the end of the festival. Photo by Goodnighmoon, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons

This is when hundreds of gigantic ninots (fanciful paper-mâché figures – often satirical) are paraded out and assembled into monumentally elaborate sculptures kown as fallas, prior to being burned on the final day (Mar. 19th).

2 Ix (March 17th) – a dynamic type of energy aligned with “jaguar” earth mysteries and transformation, coinciding at this time with St. Patrick’s Day and Social Work Day, with this year’s theme being “Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society”.

Significantly, this is also the day when the Iranian fire festival known as Chaharshanbe Soori (or Suri) is celebrated, just before Nowruz. Fortune telling, fire jumping, and other rituals associated with purification and protection, and the eating of wish-granting snacks are all part of these celebrations.

Back in Valencia, this is when offerings of flowers are brought to the Virgen de los
Desamparados (Our Lady of the Forsaken), in the form of a gigantic image in the Plaza de la Virgen, for two days prior to the lighting of the fallas on March 19th.

This 2 Ix energy is now marking 10 Tzolk’in cycles since Russia announced, in 2019, that it would be suspending its involvement in the cold war-era nuclear pact and begin developing new nuclear-capable missiles that were banned by the treaty. This announcement followed a declaration, the day before, by the dumpster during his first term (1.0) that the US would be exiting the intermediate-range nuclear forces (INF) treaty. So this particular duel between the US and Russia has been going on now for seven years.

3 Men (March 18th) – the “activation of Higher Vision”; a Burner Day oriented around “announcing the fire” at the beginning of the “Eagle” burner sequence, an energy that sometimes heralds the nature of some important forthcoming event or challenge.

In early 2014 this was the energy in place when some 70,000 pro-Western Ukrainians rallied in Kyiv’s Independence Square in a major push to oust then-president Viktor Yanukovych over his alliance with Russia. The following year this was in place when Iran and six world nations brought an end to a 12-year stand-off when they reached an historic agreement to place strict restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program and enable sanctions against Iran to be lifted. One cycle after that, early in 2016, this energy brought the opening of the Nuclear Security Summit that was attended by world leaders from more than 50 countries and 4 international organizations (but boycotted by Putin), in the fourth and final nuclear summit initiated by President Obama. Appallingly, the dumpster tore up the agreement after he came into power – and now, quite literally, “all hell has broken loose”.

Note that this was the energy in place in December of 2016 when US intelligence agencies announced that they had overwhelming evidence that Russian hackers linked to the Kremlin were behind the hacking of the 2016 US presidential election, with Putin orchestrating it in an effort to help the dumpster. That hacking kicked off the political nightmare that has been playing out ever since, which has included the passing, exactly one cycle ago, of a profoundly unpopular budget bill that cut $930bn from Medicaid for millions of Americans people, and the disbanding of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), even though a study warned it could result in millions of avoidable deaths. USAID ended its operations exactly one cycle ago.

Currently this is coinciding with the colourful “Ogoh Ogoh” festivities in Bali when large “Ogoh Ogoh” effigies are “caught”, paraded through the streets, and then ceremoniously burned, followed by dancing and feasting in conjunction with the New Moon, prior to Nyepi the next day. This coincides with a ceremony involving the cleansing and purification of sacred objects prior to the start of Bali’s traditional new year.

This is also the day when the birthday of Guanyin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, the most revered of Buddhist Bodhisattvas, will be celebrated. Given the global challenges, this Goddess (sometimes depicted with “a thousand arms”) will surely receive the prayers of millions at this time. She has her work cut out for her.

4 Kib’ (March 19th) – a “defining” type of energy often associated with the restoration of order; often manifesting as a “getting down to business” type of force. In Valencia, this is the day of  the St. Joseph’s Day cremà, when hundreds of fallas monuments will be lit as bonfires to celebrate the patron saint of carpenters. It will be a lively, noisy celebration, almost the direct opposite of what will be happening in Bali, where this will be Nyepi, the Balinese “Day of Silence”, which includes fasting, meditation, and self-reflection, in conjunction with Bali’s Hindu Saka New Year. During Nyepi shops are closed and there is no lighting of fires, no working, no venturing outside, no entertainment, no traveling, and, for some, no speaking. Lights are kept low and Bali’s streets will be empty. The emphasis is on praying for the purification of humanity, Earth, and the universe.

In the Hindu lunar calendar, however, this day coincides with the New Year’s festival of Yugadi (aka Ugadi or Samvatsaradi), meaning “beginning of the year”. In some parts of India a similar festival, known as Gudi Padwa, associated with the trumph of good over evil, will be celebrated at this time. Floral patterned “rangolis” are created to decorate entrances, and special flags are hoisted to celebrate this victory.

For Muslims, this evening brings the beginning of Eid al-Fitr, the Festival of Breaking the Fast, marking the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, and extending into the following day. Eid al-Fitr is celebrated traditionally as a blessed day of prayer, joy, and gratitude.

This is also the day of the No Kings 3 Kick off call, as strategies are reviewed for the mass mobilization in the US on the last day of this trecena.

Preparating for the No Kings march

In 1922 this 4 Kib’ energy was in place when the treaty was signed for the formation of the USSR, aka the Soviet Union. In 1947 the UN passed a resolution under this energy influence to divide Palestine into Arab and Jewish states, with Jerusalem as an internationalized city. And in 1979 this was the influence in place when the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty was signed after intense negotiations the year before (the 1978 Camp David Accords). But over the past few years, after decades worth of effort to try to bring peace to that region, horrendous cruelty and diabolical bungling has brought the region to almost total collapse. Bob Woodward’s book titled “War”, in which he “tells the revelatory, behind-the-scenes story of three wars—Ukraine, the Middle East and the struggle for the American Presidency” was released two cycles ago. He clearly needs to write a second volume.

5 Kab’an (March 20th) – a “pivotal” type of energy associated with evolutionary movement, coinciding at this time with the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the full day of Eid al-Fitr, the final full day of Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

This is the day when some 300 million people will begin celebrating Nowruz, (meaning “new day”), the Iranian or Persian New Year, a universal celebration of new beginnings, marking the first day of the first month that begins the year 1405 in the Persian calendar. (The UN celebrates this the following day – see below).

This normally joy-filled day is the first of 13 days (covering the rest of this trecena, and into the next) of “merriment”, involving family gatherings, special foods, and many different kinds of festivities. “Haftsin” tables or altars will be festooned with seven symbolic items starting with the Farsi letter “S.” This will include herbs, dried nuts and fruits, wheat grass, vinegar (for wisdom, age, and patience), candles (representing fire and light), mirrors, and coins, all of which relate to hopes for the new year, such as health, wealth and abundance. The Holy Quran or poetry books are often placed on the table to represent education and enlightenment, and goldfish are frequently included for good luck. This year, however, the situation in Iran (and the Middle East in general) will dampen celebrations significantly.

Table set for Nowruz, the Persian New Year, which coincides with the Spring Equinox. Called “Haft-Seen”, this table includes seven items that start with the letter S (seen) in the Perso-Arabic alphabet. The items are have astrological correlations to the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Photo Credit: PersianDutchNetwork [CC BY-SA 3.0], via Wikimedia Commons

Many people will be in mourning amd many will be devoting their energies towards helping the thousands of people who are caught in the middle of the conflict.

This is also the day of China’s Blue Dragon Festival (aka the Zhonghe or Longtaitou Festival, or “Dragon Raising its Head” Day), a traditional holiday related to welcoming in the first warming signs of Spring. The dragon was seen as the deity in charge of rain, with this rain festival involving ceremonies that invoke dragons to dispense “just the right quantity” of rain for spring planting. Traditionally this was the day to “wake up” the Dragon King after his long winter sleep. It is thought that cutting your hair on the Blue Dragon festival will get rid of bad luck and align you with the dragon’s dignity and power.

In Bali, this is Ngembak Geni, the Day of Forgiveness or “lighting the fire” day that marks the Balinese New Year, right after after Nyepi. This is a day to visit with families and perform religious rituals, to ask forgiveness for past wrongdoings, to start the new year with a clean slate.

In addition, this is –
o the UN’s International Day of Happiness
o the UN’s French Language Day
o World Storytelling Day, when live storytelling events take place worldwide in a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling, this year around the theme of “Light in the Dark”
o the 20th annual National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness day, dedicated to increasing awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on First Nations populations
o Red Nose Day in the UK, a major fund raising day through comic relief, at which time people wear red noses, give special performances, and raise funds for charity.
o the final day of the UN’s 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

This was the energy in place two cycles ago, just before the US election, when the Dalai Lama commented on “Living a Meaningful Life”, when he spoke about the importance of compassion. As he pointed out, “everyone has every right to have a successful life, a happy life”. But, he observed, in the affluent west, people think that success means “more prosperity, more money, more fame, more power”. But, he emphasized, those who have such things are often very unhappy, and are often very lonely, suspicious, filled with doubt, restless. Whereas those with minimum requirements are often very happy and can face difficulties more easily. His central message, needing to be heard more than ever, was:

We should not forget or neglect our inner value, and the importance of human compassion.    Dalai Lama

6 Etz’nab’ (March 21st) – a “six directions”, “knife edge” type of energy often associated with decisiveness and even “separation” that can often be quite “sparkly” and attention-getting, coinciding at this time with the UN’s International Day of Nowruz (celebration of the 3,000 year old festival of Nowruz), due to its focus on “peace and solidarity between generations and within families”. During this period there is an emphasis on reconciliation, neighborliness, and friendship among diverse peoples and communities, and the giving of gifts to those in need. In addition to participating in many different festivities during this time, many people use this period to do deep spring cleaning, buy fresh clothing, bring in fresh spring flowers, and generally “refresh”, as they celebrate “victory over darkness”. Let’s hope that the darkness will have pulled back from Iran by this time so that some sense of “victory over darkness” can be truly celebrated.

This is the UN’s 77th anniversary of its International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, with this year’s theme being “ ”; UNESCO’s World Poetry Day, with this year’s theme being “Celebrating Poetic Expression and Linguistic Diversity”; and the UN’s International Day of Forests, with this year’s theme being “Forests and economies”.

The ancient poison of racism is alive and kicking in every community, society, country and region of the world……The antidote is unity and action.    UN Secretary-General António Guterres

In 1865 this was the energy in place at the time of President Abraham Lincoln’s interment in Springfield, Illinois after a 3-week series of events that included his funeral train “tour” from Washington, D.C. to Springfield. The other important event at that time was the ending of all Confederate resistance east of the Mississippi River, as the Civil War was winding down. Note also that the attempted assassination of President Gerald Ford occurred under the influence of 6 Etz’nab’ in 1975.

7 Kawak (March 22nd) – “self-generating storm”, an energy that could bring intense weather or potentially manifest as a “storm of compassion” or a “storm of passion” oriented around a cause, coinciding at this time with World Water Day, which celebrates water and advocates for the sustainable management of fresh water resources. The goal of this day is also to raise awareness of the global water crisis, with this year’s theme being “Water and Gender”, accompanied by the slogan “Where water flows, equality grows”.

World Water day is Mar. 22nd. Photo by Linus Mimietz, Unsplash

This is also Earth Hour day, when households and businesses around the world are encouraged to switch off non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30-9:30 pm as a sign of commitment to the planet. This is the 20th anniversary of thia event.   The 5-day APEC 2026 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition opens at this time in San Antonio, Texas.

In May of 1865 this was the energy in place when the Confederate government in the US was offically dissolved, prior to the final surrender of Confederate forces. Currently this is William Shatner’s 95th birthday, and the 97th birthday of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (the “princess of polka dots” who specializes in large scale installations which incorporate different styles of dots). Her extraordinary “Retrospective of Infinity” Mirrored Room exhibit opened on March 14th at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne to mark their 50th anniversary. Her Infinity Mirrored Room – Let’s Survive Forever exhibit is currently on display at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto.

8 Ajaw (March 23rd) – the “resurrection” of the sun and “enlightenment”, as was in place last year at the time of the celebration of the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, and the launch of the Buddhist Year of Compassion.

Currently this is marking the 16th anniversary of the signing into law of the Affordable Care Act by President Obama. It is also National Puppy Day, a day to raise awareness about such things as puppy mills, to help save orphaned puppies around the globe, and to help puppies to find good homes.

9 Imix (March 24th) – “immortal” birth/the realm of all potential, a force that could have far reaching and long-lasting influence

Nine Imix was the energy in place in 2015 when NASA released the first image of Earth from its Deep Space Climate Observatory satellite, showing Earth from one million miles away. In 2022 this energy was in place when NASA released photos of a blazing gas giant planet shrouded in dusty red clouds beyond our solar system- the first images of an exoplanet using infrared light. It was seen as as historic moment for astronomy. That was the day when President Biden addressed the nation and warned that US democracy was imperiled by Trump and MAGA extremists.

One cycle later, in 2023, President Joe Biden announced his support for Ukraine’s use of advanced fighter jets, including American-made F-16s, to bolster Ukraine’s defences against Russian aggression. President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed the move as an “historic decision” as this approval helped to clear the way for other nations to send their existing stocks of F-16s to Ukraine, which have helped Ukraine significantly. Unthinkably, this war in now into its fifth year, with still no end in sight.

10 Ik’ 0 Wayeb’ (March 25th) – “foundational wind/breath/spirit” – an energy highly aligned with Source and with things pertaining to the air, to communication, and to things of a spiritual nature. In the Maya Calendar this is the first day (known as the “seating”) of the short “bridging” month known as the Wayeb’, the first of five transitional (or “bridging”) days leading to the start of the Maya New Year. Although some traditionally saw this liminal period as “dangerous” or at least a time zone that required special vigilance or caution, others saw these five days as transitional days or “days of rest”, a good time to fast, meditate, and purify to eliminate toxins and cleanse one’s spirit in order to prepare for the new year. In general this is a good time for “cleansing”, for shedding the “burdens” of the past in order to prepare for a new cycle. Traditionally it was thought that the world was “suspended” during this liminal zone.

For the legions of Lord of the Rings fans, this is Tolkien Reading Day, celebrating the life of J.R. Tolkien, and commemorating the downfall of Sauron and the destruction of the Ring in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings series.

Back in 1962 this was the Maya Calendar energy in place when New York honoured Col. John Glenn with a huge ticker-tape parade after his historic first space flight aboard Friendship 7, on the first day of this trecena. Currently this would have been former astronaut Jim Lovell’s 98th birthday. Having journeyed to the moon twice, he passed last Aug. 7th at age 97.

This marks six cycles since President Biden announced an historic $2.3tn infrastructure plan, originally known as the American Jobs Plan, that was seen as “a once in a generation spending plan” that included more than $600bn for such things as modernizing roads, repairing bridges, and tackling climate change. After much debate, part of that plan was passed and signed into law in 2021. What an enormous contrast to the dumpster’s “Big Ugly” bill that the dumpster pushed through Congress last year – a bill that involved enormous cuts to things such as Medicare, Medicaid, and food assistance for the American people, and enormous cuts to environmental protections, while appropriating large funding increases for immigration and customs enforcement and providing huge tax cuts for the wealthy.

11 Ak’b’al (March 26th) – “inspirational night” or “inspirational temple of mysteries”, a force often aligned with deep thought – or even “blackness”, but also a good day to enjoy the sanctuary of home or temple, or to give “deep thought” to something of an inspirational nature. This is coinciding with National Doctor’s Day in Brazil.

This can be seen as an intense energy associated with the secrets of the earth, now marking one cycle since the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) published its judgment on Russia’s “flagrant and unprecedented abuses of human rights” since it invaded Ukraine in 2014, including extrajudicial killings, sexual violence and forced labour. The court’s grand chamber unanimously held that between May 11th, 2014 and September 16th, 2022, when Russia ceased to be a party to the European convention on human rights, it had committed “manifestly unlawful conduct … on a massive scale”.

This is the Maya birth energy of AI “godfather” Geoffrey Hinton, who quit his job in early May, 2023. Acknowledging that he was now regretting his work, Hinton warned about the growing dangers from developments in this field. This was followed shortly thereafter by warnings from public health professionals from the UK, US, Australia, Costa Rica and Malaysia, that AI could harm the health of millions and pose an existential threat to humanity, as they called for a halt to the development of artificial general intelligence until it is regulated. For his work in this field Geoffrey Hinton won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics.

This is also Abraham Lincoln’s Maya birth energy, which would have been in place in 1865 just 5 days after his interment. Currently this is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s 86th birthday. Happy birthday Nancy.

12 K’an (March 27th) – a “dedicated” type of energy often associated with youthful vitality and the joyful celebration of life’s bounties, marking one cycle since the announcement that The Coalition of the Willing will have a new permanent headquarters in Paris, with plans in place for a future coordination cell in Kyiv, as command structures for the future reassurance force for Ukraine are finalised. That was the day when a federal appeals court upheld a jury verdict that determined that Trump was guilty of sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll.

13 Chikchan (March 28th) – “transformational lifeforce”; an intense and often impassioned energy, now coinciding with the opening of the 4-day Summit of the Americas, a meeting of the leaders of the North, Central, and South American countries that constitute the Organization of American States (OAS), meeting at this time in Orlando, Florida. This is also the day when the 11th annual Divas of Colour, International Women’s Festival 2026 takes place in London.

In the US this will be a truly transformative day as this intense 13 Chikchan force will help to support the third No Kings protest march, expected to be “the biggest protest in American history” according to Ezra Levin, the founder of Indivisible. A flagship event will be held in Minnesota’s Twin Cities – Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

No Kings march day

It has now been two cycles exactly since a full-page ad styled open letter, funded by the Anti-Psychopath Pac – a political action that has questioned Trump’s mental fitness for office – was published in the New York Times, just prior to the 2024 election. The letter, signed by 233 mental health professionals, warned that the dumpster was dangerous because of “his symptoms of severe, untreatable personality disorder – malignant narcissism”, which made him not only “grossly unfit for leadership” but also “an existential threat to democracy”. The letter stated that they felt that they had “a desperate duty” to warn [their] fellow citizens of the “imminent catastrophic public danger” (associated with the possibility of electing him) before it’s too late.” They argued that the disorder they discerned in Trump “makes him deceitful, destructive, deluded, and dangerous”. Since then the world has seen how right they were. At the time, they warned that his mental state “will only get worse over time, grossly degrading his already impaired judgment, impulse control, memory, attention, reality testing, and capacity to process information, while dramatically exacerbating the symptoms of his toxic personality disorder . . . . malignant narcissists have been history’s most grandiose, paranoid, and murderous leaders. Inevitably, they escalate until they are completely out of control, ultimately destroying themselves and the nations they lead.” Terrifyingly, that is what is now happening, and on this day millions of people will be out in force across the US to collectively push back against the insanity and tyranny that has been unleashed.
